I do not expect 5 star accommodation in a Holiday Pod but I do expect to be able to have a wash in a basin where the plug actually works!
In this pod, the plug would not hold down and so the basin could not be used!! The hob in the kitchen was very difficult to operate and there were no instructions. I am elderly but very capable generally, I would suggest that some usage of equipment, the type of which was fitted here, would be very useful. The supervisor at the site was very helpful but I am loathe to keep bothering staff if at all possible. No sharp knives in the kitchen, try slicing an onion with a bread knife!!
The pod was absolutely stunning!
Pots, pans and certain utencils provided. Everything was clean upon arrival. Love that it's dog friendly! My little doggo has the loveliest of times and the owners are friendly and extremely helpful. Definitely recommend and have already raved about it since being back home. I'll definitely be trying to boom again for next years trip!
Hob not working properly.
Owner warned I ‘might struggle’ to get it working when I arrived. Phone charging points not working. After checking, owner agreed this was the case. Teaspoon dirty. Bin lid inside pod also dirty. Outside bins for recycling need replacing. One had a hole in the lid. Labelling on outside bins not clear. Settee in pod very uncomfortable. TV worked well. Plenty of hot water. Overall, bathroom was ok, apart from needed non-slip mat outside shower for health and safety. Attitude of owner negative when the shortcomings brought to his attention.
