Seren Fach is a stone-built cottage set on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales, positioned a little beyond the village and enjoying a rural outlook.

Seren Fach sits at the end of a terrace of five former forge cottages known as Tai’r Efail, built from solid stone amid the gently rolling farmland of the peninsula.

Wide views stretch across hills, fields and open countryside, with the scenery enjoyed from both the garden and the generously sized upstairs windows.

Inside, original beams and exposed stonework bring character to the living spaces, working naturally alongside practical features that support relaxed holiday living.

The kitchen and dining area, complete with a sofa and TV, supports easy routines from unhurried breakfasts to shared evening meals.

The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed for self-catering, including an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a full range of cooking utensils, and there is also a useful ground-floor toilet.

Upstairs, three bedrooms are accessed from a landing that features exposed stone detailing, offering flexible accommodation for families or groups.

Each bedroom enjoys rural views, wooden floors, a wardrobe and dressing table, and is finished with tasteful furnishings and bedding.

The main bedroom is light and airy, featuring a vaulted ceiling with open beams, a king-size bed and a wall-mounted TV.

A double bedroom sits at the front of the house, also with exposed beams and a wall-mounted TV, while the single bedroom to the rear looks out across open fields.

A family bathroom serves all three bedrooms and includes a bath with shower over, basin and WC.

French doors from the dining area open onto the garden, where a wooden deck and slate patio create a welcoming outdoor space furnished with a large garden sofa, coffee table and firepit.

Beyond, a lawned area bordered by mature trees enjoys views across the surrounding fields.

The garden is fully enclosed and can also be accessed from the driveway via a secure side gate.

Off-road parking is available for one car, with additional space along the lane if needed.

The nearby village of Aberdaron offers a memorable coastal setting, centred around its well-known church and a sweeping sandy beach.

Time here can be spent visiting friendly pubs with restaurants, browsing the village shop, or stopping at cafés, pizza places and ice cream parlours during the warmer months, with the added draw of a log-fired beach sauna close to the shore.

A National Trust centre and several car parks support exploring the area, while the village sits on the Welsh Coastal Path, making it ideal for scenic coastal walks and boat trips to Bardsey Island.

With the coastline close by, days naturally balance time at the beach with time back at the cottage, whether enjoying the garden or settling beside the woodburning stove as evening arrives.

The location is well placed for discovering other beautiful beaches along the peninsula, including Porthor, known for its whistling sands, along with Porth Lago and Porthdinllaen, each offering a distinct coastal character.

Direct access to the Welsh Coastal Path can be found just outside the property, leading on foot to places such as Porth Ysgo, a secluded pebbly beach tucked along the coastline.

Surfing at Porth Neigwl, often referred to as Hells Mouth, is also easily reached, and the area lies on a popular cycling route.

Further afield, the coastal resorts of Abersoch and Nefyn offer sandy beaches, coastal walks and waterside places to eat, while Pwllheli, Criccieth and Porthmadog provide marinas, beaches, independent shops, supermarkets with delivery options, cafés, restaurants and promenade walks.

The seaside village of Aberdaron is peacefully situated around two streams, and facing the sea. Straggling up the hills are the buildings that give Aberdaron its character; the lime-washed fishermen's cottages, the cafes, shops, and hotels, and the church of St Hywyn. On each side of the river's mouth is the beach for walking and playing on, and a promenade where you can watch the sailing boats and regattas in the bay. There is also a National Trust visitor centre and car park. The popular resorts of Pwllheli and Abersoch are within easy reach.
