Immaculate in every aspect.

The wildlife was to say the least diverse! The views of the changing tides spectacular.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage.

The location was perfect - firstly the view sitting at the window seat is a feast for the eyes - the cottage itself is spacious and has everything you need and was a very comfortable base. Walks from the door to the estuary and beaches meant there was something to do right at the doorstep. We enjoyed watching and listening to all the wildlife - so many pheasants, the sheep and cows with their young calves, and rabbits. We were excited by the resident stoat popping out and bounding around occasionally trying to catch a pheasant with no luck. We travelled around the island with ease and enjoyed swims at various beaches and had way too much ice cream. All in all a perfect stay. Thankyou. The cottage is very isolated and quiet so if you are looking for a relaxing break surrounded by nature I would highly recommend.

We had the most wonderful week at Estuary Cottage!

Everything from the breathtaking view (the window seat was a favourite spot) right down to the thoughful arrival goodies to help us settle in, was just perfect. Only wish we could have stayed longer and explored even more of beautiful Anglesey!

We had a lovely time at Estuary cottage.

The garden is fully enclosed and had lovely views of the estuary. We enjoyed watching the cows and sheep in the nearby field, and of course the red squirrels. We had an issue with the water but the owner fixed this quickly which was much appreciated. The property is well equipped and nicely decorated. We loved the peace and quiet with great walls from the doorstep. We have only two very minor negatives to report. The listing and information book in the property states the WiFi is limited to 25gb a month and so use should be limited. We tethered from our phones initially but then when we contacted the caretaker about the water they let us know the WiFi has since been upgraded and no issues for internet use. The information pack needs updating and as others have said it's impossible to work out from the information pack what to do with recycling. The property is also down a bumpy track that may not be suitable for all vehicles and there are stairs from the entrance/downstairs bedroom/bathroom to the living room. All that aside we had a fantastic stay and will definitely come back

Great place for a relaxing and peaceful break.

Perfect location for exploring the island as it’s close to the costal path so within easy reach of the most beautiful beaches and wonderful walks you could wish for. Lovely private views over the estuary from the house and garden and lots of wildlife to spot. Cottage is lovely and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Couldn’t fault it. Neighbours were friendly and really helpful. Visited lots of places whilst there like Beaumaris, Cemaes, Trearddur, Benllech, Newborough but most enjoyed being on the secluded beaches near the cottage. Hope to visit again. We were a bit hot in the house as the weather was warm and would have liked to have been able to turn off radiators but couldn’t work out how to do this although totally get why it’s controlled remotely. And we didn’t know what to do with recycling - think the info folder in the house needs updating.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage in Anglesey.

The layout of the property is thoughtfully designed, making it both comfortable and practical for a relaxing getaway. The location is peaceful, quiet, and perfect for unwinding. One of the best things about staying on the island is the convenience; thanks to its geography, you’re never more than about 30 minutes from anywhere, which makes exploring incredibly easy. Overall, a fantastic place to stay. We’d happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and well-situated retreat

This cottage is in a wonderful location and has the potential to be a fantastic property.

We had hoped this would become a regular holiday location for us. Unfortunately the first impressions were soon overshadowed by so many issues and despite being asked to send the details to the agent, whch we did twice, we have not received any reply or acknowledgement. Such potential but ultimately, so much disappointment.

The cottage exceeded our expectations.

The views were stunning and the location, quiet and peaceful with walks from the doorstep. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed and was spotless. Our dog did not want to leave, and neither did we!

What a fabulous cottage, very clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly want.

The view was fantastic. There were alot of stairs which wasn't really mentioned in the listing and could be an issue for anyone with limited mobility. But overall a very lovely place.

Lovely property for a quiet stay for our small family .

Disappointed that within 1/2 of arrival one of our party had something sharp stuck to their sock that when they went to remove it was a piece of glass that was then embedded in their finger.

On further investigation the lounge and kitchen floor had quite a few pieces of broken glass over it (can provide photos if required),so had to be hoovered, don't think the property had been hoovered at all. On the Thursday night we heard a strange noise coming from upstairs, the pipe to the hot tap on the sink was badly corroded and was spraying hot water over the bathroom, luckily we had tools to isolate it but not before water had come through the floor and was running down the walls of the downstairs bedroom, we had to move our son into the upstairs room with us as the room was wet and smelt damp. We reported it the following day but no one came to resolve the issue before we left, it was a shame as the property is in a lovely location.

A sea view and red squirrels in the garden - what more could you ask for. Lots to do in the area - pretty villages; sandy coves and coastal walks. Overall 10 out 10

This was an amazing cottage with fantastic views.

The champagne and Welsh cakes were a nice touch. The highlight of my week was seeing the red squirrel in the garden every day. I would highly recommend this cottage . Fantastic location with excellent amenities and very classy. Would definitely stay there again

Beautiful property,in a beautiful setting cottage was so different in its layout, just in a nice way.

The setting is so relaxing and plenty of nice walks from the cottage, the walk along the estuary was so peaceful, area is full of great places to visit, so many hidden gems just explore and you will find it’s a magical island. Lovely spacious garden with great furniture and the BEST location. Bathroom really nice with plenty of hot water although it had a strange smell

The key safe is worn and difficult to open. Had to ring emergency number. Managed to open it after 40 minutes of trying just as Sykes returned my call. It needs replacing. 2. The wooden gates fronting the cottage need some maintenance to make them easier to open and close. 3. The listing for the cottage requests that no contact be made with the occupiers of the residential property next to the cottage. I understand that the property changed hands in April 2024 and the new occupiers are friendly and welcoming. The listing needs updating.

Great cottage .

Great location..friendly neighbours at farm..Nice enclosed garden for dog ..slight issue with no hot water on arrival but was sorted quickly by electrician once reported ..only the one general waste bin for all waste so eco warriors beware....definitely would return it was a lovely place for a long weekend away.

Absolutely beautiful only criticism was the recycling information very confusing as only one red bin available.

Gardens beautifully kept and we'll maintained. The cottage was very comfortable and well stocked.

This was our second stay at Estuary Cottage, and if anything, we loved it even more this time!

It is just perfect for us and our little dog. It is beautifully presented and equipped, comfortable and user-friendly. Except for one day, we had all our meals at home, and even invited some guests. Despite not being in our own home, it was easy and comfortable to prepare meals and clean up. Also a shout-out to the agent for the property, who dealt with a small infrastructure problem we had efficiently.

Really great location / setup A few things weren’t quite as expected: a few cushions on outdoor furniture seemed to be missing, the TV controller stopped working for the last few days.

Stunning views with beautiful walks straight from the door. The peace and quiet was so restoring and just what is needed for a relaxing holiday.. We really appreciated the very comfortable outside furniture and it was a great start to the holiday sitting in the garden drinking the champagne the owner kindly left for us. We can thoroughly recommend, and really appreciated, staying at Estuary Cottage. Anglesey is a really beautiful place to visit. Thank you to the owner for such a happy and sunny stay.

The cottage is situated in the most lovely area, the view out of most of the windows is beautiful.

The cottage had everything we could need for the week, it was clean, comfortable and warm. There was also comfortable seating outside which is where we had our breakfast most mornings.

One of the nicest cottages I've stayed in on Anglesey, well appointed with lots of extras that aren't always provided, the only thing needed was kitchen roll, and perhaps some tongs.

Lovely log burner which was needed on the colder afternoons before the heating kicked in. Cannot better the view, quiet and peaceful. 1 or 2 things need sorting out although recycling was explained in the house literature, the outside boxes weren't there to put items into. As we were packing upto leave, a lawnmower team arrived, dog was still outside, and they left the gates open, pls make other clients aware of this. Fortunately I got her inside before having the chance to run off. If you have a canine companion who is an adapt escapee they will get under the fence.....

Estuary cottage is in a wonderful location, amazing views, cottage has lovely decor.

Had issue with washing machine so rang number in the information book, number had changed so were re-directed to another number. Richard rang back, first thing he said was "I dont deal with this type of issue. No “Hello, how are you”... We thought why did he pick up the message. Richard did not seem to have a very positive or happy manner, perhaps he was fed up, which we all are sometimes. Washing machine issue was resolved. When we hung our coats on the coat rails in entrance hall we did not notice Mr & Mrs Woodlice and their family were going about their business along with a mushroom/toadstool that was growing out of the wall. We made Richard aware to which his response was "I know about it". So we thought why hasn't it been resolved. After finding out about the woodlice we took coats outside and gave them a good shake, Mr & Mrs Woodlice and family went off to new adventures. Richard also commented "As you booked in the 11th hour no deep clean could occur". We had looked at the bookings for Estuary Cottage, it was full before and after our visit so when would a deep clean taken place? Why was a deep clean needed? We booked when we booked, imagine Skyes want as much business as possible, but then how will a deep clean happen. Should we of been allowed to stay when a deep clean was needed? When films are put in DVD Player no sound comes out, we checked all the cables but no joy. We did not ring Richard, we thought better of it. There are three recycling information cards in information book showing what can be recycled. In kitchen there is a sliver bin with two compartments each with a black bin bag, other side of kitchen is another waste bin again with a black bin bag. There is no labeling/colour codes to differentiate what should/could be recycled. Outside main gate is one wheelie bin. We like to recycle so on couple of occasions we took our recycled items to Moelfre recycling hub in their main car park. We read such lovely comments from some previous guests saying how wonderful their welcome pack was. We looked high, we looked low but could not find ours. Has this service finished? As this was our first booking with Sykes Cottages a suggestion was made by your colleague on booking any further holidays discount vouchers maybe available to us, is this correct? It would have been good to be able to control the heating.

Welcome pack was great. Plenty of logs / kindling for the week. Great walking from the front door in every direction.

A well equipped, beautifully decorated and comfortable cottage.

SO quiet and a peaceful view to behold every day. One of the very few of all our property rentals we would give 10 stars.

Our holiday was totally marred by two very important points which matter greatly to us.

Firstly on our first morning we opened the front door to find an organised shoot! This in itself is unacceptable having live weapons and shot raining down on you let alone the noise but to us it has far reaching consequences. NOT ACCEPTABLE as we had to negotiate with them.!! Secondly, your clever photography shows the cottage standing along, this is VERY misleading, only in the small print does it say differently, another. NOT ACCEPTABLE from us, We value our privacy. I look forward to your comments.

First time in Anglesey.

Beautiful location highly recommend. lots of walks from the doorstep. Thankyou for the welcome goodies we drank the champagne while watching the rugby! We were lucky to see the red squirrel three times! A first for us. We were extremely lucky with the weather and managed to see a lot of the island including watching the RAF jets in practice at close range. Wow.

We were delighted with Estuary Cottage.

It is beautiful, well-appointed, comfortable and very well equipped. We are former residents of the immediate area, and were absolutely blown away (in more ways that one: storm Agnes was about!) with the location, ease of striking out for walks in every direction and views so good we just sat on the sofa for hours looking out. We are also former owners of a similar type holiday rental in Spain, and our practiced eye was most appreciative!

Estuary Cottage is beautiful!

The arrival gifts left for us were very generous and we enjoyed the champagne sat watching the sunset over the beautiful view. The fixtures and fittings, along with the furnishings were all of a high standard and added to the atmosphere of the cottage. The cottage was also equipped with all the facilities we could need i.e crockery, pans etc and it was particularly nice that toilet rolls, washing up liquid etc had been left for us to start us off and most importantly spotlessly clean. We visit the island regularly and always stay in Menai cottages, all of which have been wonderful, but Estuary Cottage is particularly lovely! Thank you for a lovely holiday!

This was our first visit to Anglesey.

Estuary Cottage was amazing and far exceeded our expectations. Idyllic setting, beautifully appointed/well equipped for our needs. Thoroughly enjoyed exploring the local bays and coves. Enjoyed the coastal path walks direct from the cottage. Thanks to previous reviews we sought out the smoke house in Dulas - Y CWT MWG for some amazing cheeses and also the crab shop in Benllech (opposite Tesco Express) for fresh dressed crab. We travelled down to Newborough (40 min drive) for a fabulous beach day and also crossed the original Menai Bridge into Bangor enroute to the Snowdon Mountain Rail for a journey to the peak. We have barely scratched the surface. We will definitely be returning to Estuary Cottage to further explore the Island.

I struggle to find faults living room door catching but that's nit picking

Cleanliness downgraded because of a dirty rug and stains on other rugs.

Crockery, cutlery and cookware were very good. Fridge/Freezer was rather small necessitating the need to virtually empty the fridge every time you needed something.

What a delightful place.

Great location fantastic views helped by some superb weather. Estuary cottage had everything we needed, a real gem. Comfortable great decor and nature all around. Defo will return

Upon arrival we found there was no hot water!

This had not been tested by the housekeeper! A text to the housekeeper did result in a plumber visiting the property at 8.30am the next morning and the issue was resolved. There were no cleaning products left in the property (anti-bac spray etc), and only two dishwater tablets (with no pre-warning that these are not provided). Two texts to both housekeeper contacts went unanswered! The outside lighting by the drive gate, outside patio furniture and wooden bench did not work! Seating inside the cottage needs attention as it is uncomfortable to sit on and both armchairs are badly stained. Hot tap hand washbasin in both bathroom and toilet have been plumbed in the wrong way and now spin round when turned on! Also both wooden shelves in bathroom and downstairs toilet are very badly worn and stained, looking unsightly. Very unhygienic, a simple sand and varnish is all that is needed. A proper towel ring is needed in the bathrooms as the hand towel kept falling off the coat hook that was there. Small side plates are also needed in the kitchen. No key provided for the front door, meaning that coats and boots etc had to be removed for safety reasons when out. The door is also in need of a sand and varnish! A nice cottage in a beautiful location, but in need of some TLC!

As you will see from your records we have stayed in many of your lovely properties but this one surpasses them all.

Estuary cottage for us had it all! Well equipped , beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. The views from the windows were to die for and ever changing with red squirrels and frolicking lambs to entertain. The location was stunning with all round views of the estuary and rolling countryside. The property is a credit to the owners and we hope to return soon.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage, what a great remote location to switch off and unwind at, it’s also a great base to explore Anglesey from.

Will definitely be back again!

Cosy, well situated cottage.

Spotlessly clean. Stylishly decorated. Stunning views.

The cottage is lovely, very clean, well equipped and nicely furnished and decorated, the garden is perfect having a beautiful outlook and farm animals, birds etc to view.

I would highly recommend. Downsides for some would be the stairs up to the living space/ the porch could not be locked as the door is broken and the road to the cottage is only fit for vehicles which have good clearance.

No heating on arrival at 4pm.

No instructions on how to switch it on.Had to contact the Housekeepers at 10pm. Had a newborn baby with us. Freezing. No cot. No highchair.

Absolutely beautiful cottage with the most stunning location for a perfect week away.

Everything we needed was provided for our use & the property was lovely & clean on arrival. Beautiful decor throughout & lovely enclosed garden for our Hungarian Vizsla to enjoy all the visiting wildlife that came to say hello. We have rebooked & returning next September. Thank you so much for a lovely place we have found.

., The facilities and cleanliness were superb .. The location was stunning too with a beautifulView of the estuary from the window and the regular morning visits of the red squirrels … My only criticism is that the local pub wasn’t a very high standard but I appreciate there’s not a lot the owners can do about this ., Thank you for a lovely break

The cottage was perfect,furnishings lovely beds so comfortable.

We loved the views over the estuary, loved watching the red squirrels in the garden. The weather couldn't have been better,sunshine everyday. We all said that we will definitely return in the future,perfect little holiday.

Beautiful setting very characterful property.

On stripping the bed linen found very stained pillows in main bedroom, no protectors on we had spent the week sleeping on them. On arrival found that the bin in main bedroom contained used Q tips had not been emptied. Would benefit from pasta bowls, pair of kitchen scissors , possibly Gin glasses.

It’s such a shame that all soft furnishings are covered in dog hairs, I did contact Sykes before booking to avoid this but I didn’t hear back from them after them making contact with owners.

Also my daughters were woken each night from scurrying noises in the ceiling so not sure if there is a rat or mice in there

Good quality all round. The views are excellent too. Perhaps a sign at the entrance from the road would be beneficial for the first time visitor.

Fantastic property and a wonderful location!

Only downside to our stay was the early checkout because we didn't want to leave! Also wanted to mention that on our way out we noticed a small leak in the porch, near to the inner door. Probably noticable due to the heavy rain but thought you'd want to know. Thanks

An excellent quality property furnished to a high standard in a peaceful rural setting.

Superb position with great views and walks on the doorstep. Excellent facilities within with only a few minor issues such as a couple of electrical appliances (radiator in main bathroom, table lamp in bedroom) not working. We appreciate you are still working with Covid-19 restrictions, but think the entrance and exit times could be different - arriving at 5pm and leaving at 9am only gave us 2 days and 3 nights. No problem, but would have been better at 4pm/10am. We would definitely return again and would most certainly recommend to friends etc.

The property was exceptional.

Furnishings, cleanliness and layour were first class. Many thanks to the owner who went out of their to help us with our daughter who has additional needs and to the local office contacting us when we had a very short, 15 minute, power cut. An absolute fantastic place to stay. Best holiday in Wales

Absolutely lovely cottage with most of the comforts of home.

We had a lovely relaxing break , the property was spotless and beautifully furnished and well equipped.

Loved the peaceful location. The only minus was the 9.00am checkout , 10.30am would be better .

A truly delightful 'away from the crowds' holiday , the location is just stunning with Natures Window in your Garden - we loved it.

The House is comfortable and had good facilities with quality furnishings and bedding giving it the edge . It is very easy to explore the Island and all its beauty but you do have it right on your own doorstep.

Our stay at estuary cottage was lovely.

The views are stunning as is the abundance of wildlife. The visiting Red Squirrels were a joy as was watching the Egrets on the estuary.

One problem was we couldn't get WiFi or Interenet.

Beautiful cottage in a quiet and peaceful location with stunning views.

The cottage was as described and photographed with the exception of the lounge furniture. It is a small living dining area but perfectly adequate if it had the right size furniture, perhaps better for 2 than 4 people. We were surprised to see that the small sofa had been replaced with a large, not new- pale blue, grubby looking, sofa. With the 2 large chairs (also grubby - arms were marked and dirty) there was very little room to move about. After a long period of lockdown we were surprised that the furniture had not been subjected to a deep clean - it was as if someone was clearing out old stuff and just put it in there.... The kitchen facilities were good and although we didn't feel the need for a freezer I can appreciate that if it was more than 2 people for a few days it could be a problem. As someone else has mentioned, there could be for room for a fridge freezer if there were less storage units. That said it was a great location with beautiful walks and a great time was had enjoying watching the red squirrels that definitely loved hazelnuts. The lambs were also a joy to watch. Will consider staying again.

Estuary Cottage was glorious, far away from the madding crowd which was spot on for the 'crazy times' we are living through right now.

We pretty much knew where the pitfalls would be from reading comments left by previous visitors and I can both agree and understand the comments left: (a) the lack of a freezer - I understand because it fits in with the extremely well laid out and equipped kitchen (neff no less so very reliable) but agree because it was lacking in space for even just the 2 of us meaning we made more shopping trips than we would have liked although we found Tesco, Waitrose and Hootons farm shop to be COVID 19 compliant. (b) satellite signal - the weather was pretty atrocious and the signal on 'Free-sat TV' went down on day 3 which meant we had to read, amuse ourselves and enjoy the surroundings - nothing wrong with that but just be prepared for it. We have no doubt we will be back in time ( God Willing) if only to check out the red squirrels (PS they adore hazelnuts (£3 a bag Tesco) and it's great fun watching them hiding them for the winter)! STAY SAFE EVERYONE

Lovely accommodation with wonderful views across the estuary.

Twice we saw red squirrels in the garden. Lots of beautiful countryside and the coastal path accessible from the cottage. A good fish and chip shop a short drive away in Moelfre. What more could anyone want? We definitely hope to return.

We have had a wonderful holiday even though the weather could have been kinder ,it DID Not stop us from doing some lovely walks.

Our little dog NELL. Loved the beach at Lligwy just right for chasing her ball , The ever changing views from our cottage window was magical! And seeing the red squirrel. WOW. We would like to draw your attention to the front porch door that you can not close, and also the water ingress into the porch, making the hanging of coats a complete waste of time, in other words they get VERY WET . Also the freezing compartment in the fridge,is inadequate for four people, how don't want to shop every day . But after saying that. Had a great stay at Estuary Cottage.

Location is very secluded which suited us. Cottage was clean, comfortable, well equipped and very well heated. Internet was poor but that is understandable due to location, but all our phones had 4G reception. Would definitely recommend this cottage and would love to return. Feedback for improvement - landowners kindly let cottage guests walk across private land to the public coastal path. During the weekends there was a pheasant shoot on the private land and we ended up walking back through the shoot which had to be stopped for us to pass. If there had be details of the time of the shoot in the cottage information we would have avoided the land at that time.

The cottage and situation was stunning.

However we were unable to switch on the heating outside the times set by the owners And whilst I understand some of the reasons for this some guests may for health reason require the heating during the day and this was not available

Lovely cottage at the end of a lane that cuts across the coastal path with views out across a field and Dulas Estuary.

From the cottage you can walk to the other side of the Estuary or towards LLligwy beach. It is a bit isolated (having one nearby neighbour and a farm) but at the end of the private road is the Pilot Inn pub which we found to be friendly. As it is so isolated I would have preferred less kitchen cupboards and a decent sized fridge freezer as the one in the cottage is a small fridge with an ice box and for us we ate in a lot due to the cottage's location and the local area so had to make a few trips to Benllech out for re stocking milk, bread and other essentials. The cottage itself is warm and comfortable with great showers upstairs and downstairs, open plan living and kitchen space with lovely views. Only niggle with cleanliness was their was tissues and string under the coach suggesting it hadn't had a deep clean in a while. The addition of the porch was a great idea, the inner door is still a bit tricky and we tended to use the patio as the main way in and out. If some coat hooks were added to the porch area it would be great for hanging wet coats as well as storing the wellies and walking boots. Longish walk to the beach but beautiful spot to get away from it all. I would recommend.

Estuary cottage is the most peaceful location even during the summer.

The facilities are of a very good standard and the decoration top rate. We love this place. It is our 3rd visit and already we are looking at dates for the next one.

Very impressed with everything that was provided for us including logs for the wonderful log burner !! Loved sitting in the window seat with a morning cuppa watching the world go by on the estuary, it was so relaxing .

One star lost as the front door is essentially serviceable and this has been a comment left year on year to the owners.

Clean & well presented with enough comfy chairs for everyone to relax on.

Good quality outdoor furniture meant we were able to use the outdoor space too. The owners had gone to some length to equip the cottage properly & everything functioned as it should. My only grips would be; firstly, crockery was in short supply(we only had 4 bowls for example) & secondly, the front door was a little tricky to lock. Other than that we loved it & would recommend to others. In fact we already have!

Very cosy, though there were only two of us in a two bedroom place, might have been a bit squashed with 4 adults. The main bedroom was brilliant, lovely and big and very airy. Once we got it going and warm the heating system was great [until we had a power cut!]

We spent the first Christmas away from home here and could not have wished for more, from the moment of arriving to see the cottage all decorated ready for Christmas, and the most generous welcome hamper, we knew we had made the right choice.

The situation is really lovely and the easy access to different parts of Anglesey is very good. Anyone who likes walking and Nature will particularly enjoy this holiday let.

Make the most of this experience and connect with nature. We have been privileged to see a buzzard close up as it flew past the patio door being harassed by a crow. Two - yes two! Red Squirrels in the garden every day and numerous birds all from the comfort of the cottage. We walked down to the estuary a couple of times and saw a hare and Egrets. Thankyou for the generous welcome pack. The cottage is so clean and cosy. We also had really good weather, we are totally chilled out.

Best meals = Oyster Catcher, Rhosneigr and Sea Shanty, Trearddur Bay (both lunchtimes) and Breeze Hill was also ok, friendly staff and Pilot Boat ok but stops serving food at 8pm, (they kept the kitchen open for us)

A truly outstanding location and a beautiful, homely and well equipped cottage.

We walked many, many miles and ran almost as many without ever moving our car! There really is no finer beach than Traeth yr Ora, which is a mere 13 minutes jog away!!

Estuary Cottage far surpassed my expectations, especially the views.

Having visited Anglesey many times since my university days at Bangor in the 1970s, I never knew there was this beautiful area on the Dulas Estuary until now, and I will be returning. The walk to the Traeth Yr Ora is joyful, thank you for the directions. My all time favorite beach is Newborough/Llanddwyn, which remains as un-spoilt and awe-inspiring as when I first visited in 1976. My favorite part is the beach to the right of the path to the Island where a massive wonderful beach awaits. The small smokery at Dulas is worth a visit (Y Cwt Mwg) I bought smoked chicken, smoked goats cheese and goats sausages. The crab shop in Benllech - self dressed crab, cooked lobsters etc. Worth an early visit before they sell out. Diolch Yn Fawr to the owners and housekeepers of this cottage, thank you for the welcome goodies-right up my street.

Very lucky with the weather, been out exploring every day. A perfect week which ended with a visit to the Dingle where we bumped into not 1,2,3 or 4 but 5 RED SQUIRRELLS!!! P.S. All the best to the new custodians at the Pilot Boat- nice Sunday Lunch!!

Benllech to Red Wharf Bay when the tide is outacross the beach is also lovely with fab eateries at Redwharf: Boathouse and Ship Inn and The Tavern at St Davids. The red squirrel visited us daily, a special treat! For eating out with a dog we can recommend The Sea Shanty, White Eagle and The Oystster Catcher. Try booking onto the rib ride for a boat trip and horse riding at Anglesey Centre, walks are plentiful straight from the door, Thanks again we will be back! x

Weather has been very good, and we have had some wonderful walks. Thank you, we will miss the quiet and the views (we missed seeing the red squirrel but hopefully the new neighbours will start putting out food for them!).

Beautiful views over the estuary and lovely walks over the coastal paths. The highlight was seeing the red squirrels while walking to Moelfre. Our grandchildren loved the beach and playing in the enclosed garden.

Made full use of local public transport to make the most of the fabulous coastal walks and scenery. We hope to return in the near future. The neighbours are always delightful and friendly and perhaps the 'note' on the website (Sykes) should be amended to reflect this.

The weather was so sunny but coolish wind. We all know the island well so it's like coming home. Came her to Llanddona in 1949!! We will be back

I have been coming to the Island for 50 years, this is the most tranquil location I have ever stayed in.

The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. We had a lovely week exploring the places that have become part of my and now our history. Highlights have been the beautiful beach walks in the evenings and the views from the garden here. We will be back.

What a truly special place - thank you so much for such a relaxing, memorable stay.

The cottage is so homely and welcoming, with warm, cosy decor - we (and our dog!) especially loved the window seat - the perfect spot to sit with a cup of tea and watch the world go by! The Garden is wonderful - breathtaking scenery, we also made the most of the local beaches - all stunning! Recommend a walk to Moelfre - delicious local Ice Cream by the water! (just note, the convenience store there has been closed a few weeks ago so ignore the handbook on that). A big thank you for the very generous welcome pack - made us feel right at home the second we arrived. The neighbors next door are the loveliest people, so friendly and helpful (they've moved in around a year ago - definitely ignore any notes on the cottage webpage about avoiding there). We've had a truly peaceful and happy time here (perhaps most of all, enjoyed by our 15 year old miniature Dachshund who loved watching the cows grazing) - full of fresh air, gorgeous trips out, slow mornings and lovely memories we're leaving feeling rested, happy and already dreaming of coming back again! Thank you!! x

The interior design of the cottage is wonderful too. Thank you also for the biscuits and coffee. We recommend Newborough nature reserve, The Ship Inn, Beaumaris and Benllech Beach. We saw the red squirrel and lots of birds. We went to the RSPB South Stacks for lovely views of the sea and cliffs. All of these places are dog friendly!

Had a wonderful welcome on Friday afternoon, two Curlews walking across the back field adjacent to garden!

We never tired of the changing views from the window seat and the calves were and added bonus. So many areas to explore and endless walks to take. The welcome pack was especially thoughtful. The peace and quiet and darkness at night make it a truly relaxing break and the bed very comfortable. I'm not surprised you have return guests. If we are ever fortunate to visit this was again we'd love to re book here.

Loved pushchair route to beach- sandcastles in abundance - Perfect views from upper bedrooms 12 out of 10 in the property from pillars. Velux windows perfect for viewing beach end tides ins and outs plus moon phase and cloud watching - beautiful. guests.

We have been blown away by the beautiful cottage!

Adore the window seat and stunning view, watching the bats in the garden and listening to the curlews calling. We have had a wonderful week exploring the island and wildlife watching. Some of our highlights have been watching Risso’s dolphins from Point Lynas (visit 2 hrs before high tide for the best chance) and watching the lifeboat at Moelfre being launched for training. Yummy fish and chips from Cemaes and good pub grub from The Kinmel Arms.

Had a really relaxing, wonderful week at this beautiful cottage.

The only thing we can fault is the lack of sunsets - sun going down over the hills at the front! Not a lot you can do about that though :). Very very comfortable and homely, with an ever changing view. Will miss the peace and quiet and the abundance of stars in the dark skies.

Not stayed on this side of Ynys Mon for quite some time. So fortunate with the weather. Lovely cottage, amazing views & wildlife including red squirrels. Great to see the Pilot Boat open again. Making memories with our 15 1/2 year old Welsh Vizsla aka - Alfie Moon.

Despite the best efforts of the highly variable weather we still enjoyed.

Many walks and exhilarating runs in the area. Coastal path closed between Lligwy and Path Y Mor, which is a shame. Very glad to see the Pilot Boat resuming business. A very welcoming environment. Fire ready to light.
