A super cottage in a great, quiet location.

It was spotlessly clean and all the furnishings were of a high quality. We loved the cottage, thank you.

Had a wonderful break at Hafod, beautiful location, exceeded expectations and pictures, very clean and comfortable, amazing views from the property.

The property was ideal for what we needed.

It was quiet and very comfortable. It was lovely to be able to walk out the door and be able to join the coast path within minutes. The views were amazing too.

Decor is beautiful. Idyllic surroundings. There is nothing you could want that isn't here. Really loved this cottage.

This was our third stay here and we thouroughly enjoyed it as usual.

This was our second stay at Hafod and once again we had a wonderful time.

The cottage is beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and very well equipped, it feels like a home from home. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking properly, including sharp knives for chopping. The location is fantastic. There are lovely views of Snowdonia from the kitchen and two of the bedrooms, and you can also see Beaumaris Castle in the distance. We often found ourselves volunteering to do the washing up just to enjoy the view a bit longer! The bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable, and the whole area is incredibly peaceful, all you can hear is birdsong. We love Anglesey and there’s still so much for us to explore even after two visits. The beaches are beautiful, the woodland walks are especially lovely in spring with all the wildflowers, and the nature reserves are great for wildlife spotting, we saw eight red squirrels this year. The coastal walks are also brilliant for seeing seabirds, including puffins. Hafod is a perfect base for exploring Anglesey and we will be staying again.

Beautiful cittage with amazing views.

The cottage was immaculate and very cosy - the kitchen was fully equipped and also had extra items like coffee maker and airfryer too. The bedrooms were spacious and the bedding of a high standard and comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean and lots of hot water. The lounge was cosy and plenty of seating and the wood burner was clean and worked really well and kept us warm in the cold blustery weather last week. The central heating was also efficient and responsive. Loved the place and the views. A big plus for me was the EV charger.

The cottage was very clean on arrival there's everything you need in the kitchen on the other hand the microwave needs replacing as its got a hole at the side this was apparent as we decided to use it, the bed in the extension was very uncomfortable for my friends lumpy and the water stops in the shower room if someone uses the water in the kitchen, other than that we've had a good stay amazing views, ample parking and good to have neighbours near by, great for walkers we didnt walk as we're unable to do this activity limited walking for us unfortunately.

This was our second stay at Hafod.

Our only comment to make our stay more comfortable would be to have a couple of lighter outside chairs with pads. The existing wooden furniture was too heavy and uncomfortable for us to use.

Hafod is a comfortable, well equipped cottage in a tranquil setting with stunning views.

Located high in the hills above Beaumaris, which is a 15 minute drive away. We appreciated all the effort gone into making Hafod a very nice holiday home. The kitchen is very well equipped and has an air fryer and Nespresso machine, not mentioned in the listing. Outside has a courtyard with table and chairs, a grass area next to the driveway which has double gates, and there is an EV charger. However, if you have dogs the garden is not at all secure for them to roam freely. If I had one criticism it would be that there are no comfortable chairs for lounging in the garden. All is all, we had a lovely stay at Hafod.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful week at this beautiful cottage and already can’t wait to come back—we’ve even booked for next year!

The cottage is cosy, stylish, and set in a stunningly peaceful location, with breathtaking views of Yr Wyddfa / Snowdonia from the kitchen window. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the whole place was spotless. The weather was perfect, with sunshine every day, and we loved exploring the local area. Llanddona Beach, 15 mins drive, is vast and often blissfully quiet. Penmon Point, 5 mins drive, at the eastern tip of the island has a lighthouse and spectacular views across to Puffin Island. We also enjoyed visiting nearby Beaumaris, full of charm with its lovely shops, restaurants, and classic fish and chips by the sea. A truly perfect escape!

Hafod is a lovely cottage in a nice rural location with fantastic views including across the Menai Strait to Snodownia.

Very peaceful. All the facilities one would need. We spent seven days, with our daughters and dog, at the end of April and would highly recommend the cottage. Superb circular walks from the door and a short drive to the excellent Llandonna beach. There are shops offering all you need in Beaumaris which is a five minute drive away with a small Morrisons store in the village of Llangoed just a two minute drive down the road.

This property is so beautifully presented.

Every detail was carefully thought out, from the choice of decor, right through to the ice cubes that had been left in the freezer for drinks! The location was stunning, with views over the Menai straights and within 5 minutes drive of Beaumaris. Stunning.

I was extremely impressed with this lovely cottage.

Lots of nice touches such as a supply of logs for the log burner, great kitchen amenities and all clean as a whistle. Views are amazing and although the weather didn't allow much use of the garden area I imagine it's fantastic in the summer. I Highly recommend Hanford.

We welcomed 2025 in at Hafod and we enjoyed our stay very much.

The cottage has stunning views that change by the hour and are lovely to wake up to. It is roomy and well equipped with everything you need to enjoy a nice break away (even an air fryer). After a brisk New Years Day walk at Penmon Point (2 miles away) it was great to come back to our cozy, well maintained cottage. A free pass for Penmon point toll and parking was a nice touch. We would highly recommend Hafod for a break where the beautiful Isle of Anglesey can be discovered,

Bungalow was beautiful.

Plenty room for all of us. Kitchen really big and specious. Extra bonus an air fryer. Bedrooms really nice as well. Ideal spot for going to various places. Great there was a car charger. Would definitely recommend the property. Great holiday.

Such a beautiful cottage, the only down side was that I couldn’t let my little pooch out at night, due to the gate having a gap that he could slip under, but we absolutely loved where we were and the property was of a high standard.

So quiet and peaceful and just a short distance to Penmon and Beaumaris. Couldn’t wish for a better place.

Lovely accommodation.

We found that on trying to make some toast the toaster kept tripping the electrics. One text to the owner on the number provided in the welcome papers and a replacement was ordered and delivered the next day. Surrounded by beautiful scenery in all directions and plenty of things to do regardless of the weather. We had a lovely stay but it was over too fast. Thank you

The Bungalow was lovely and clean and had everything we needed.

A lovely touch was a real Christmas tree with lights outside the back door, which you could see through the patio windows, it looked really pretty. Sadly our holiday was ruined due to the heating not working and the boiler kept on going off every hour all through the holiday. So heating and hot water was going off all the time, mid shower, or bath. Had to keep taking the fireplace panel off and re filling the system to put up the water pressure and re light the system, for it to go off again. The bedrooms were freezing cold the whole time and my daughter and partner went home early because they were so cold. The on suite was so cold it was like being outside, we couldn't use the shower because it was too cold The main bathroom had the boiler fitted into the fireplace, which was boxed in. The owner told us to take the front panel off and up the pressure and re ignite the system. The whole bathroom smelt so strongly like a petrol station, it made my eyes sting and we had to keep the window open when we were in the bathroom. We contacted the owner and he said he had spoken to a boiler engineer and it would be fixed. But too late for our holiday, which was to celebrate my husband's 60th Birthday and New Years Eve There is a log burner, so we thought that would warm the house, but the weirdest thing is that it didn't give off any heat at all. So after two days didn't bother to light it. It looked nice, but was not worth the expence of buying further logs, when it was not giving off any heat.

We spent four days here at Hafod, what a delightful cottage, everything we needed.

Clean and comfortable, and peaceful, with stunning views. within a few miles from the lovely town of Beaumaris, and Red Wharf Bay.

A beautiful cottage - very clean, peaceful, everything you could need in a holiday cottage.

This was our first visit to Anglesey - we looked at many holiday cottages before deciding on Hafod - we choose right and we wasn't disappointed. A lovely garden to sit in, and the views are lovely too. If you have a dog there is a nice lane right outside for them to have a short walk. Comfortable lounge area for the evening, and the kitchen very well equipped for cooking. The lay out and decor work very well - we liked that it was so "open". The bedrooms had plenty of storage and comfy beds. The Owners have clearly thought of everything - from other holiday cottages we have stayed in, Hafod really has been the Best. We would absolutely recommend Hafod whether you are a young family, or like us an older couple travelling with our son - it would suit any visitor. Thank you so much to Sykes Cottages and the Owners - a fabulous location/cottage that gave us a wonderful base of which to explore Anglesey.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Hafod is comfortable, spacious, welcoming, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. If there were 6 staying there would be a shortage of seating in the lounge, as there is really only seating for 5, but there were only 4 of us so we were fine. The timing and temperature of the heating was inadequate to dry the towels and we had to boost the heating a few times because of this. A couple of chilly mornings too for the same reason, but didn't spoil our stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Hafod and found the owner to be very helpful and attentive regarding a minor issue with the key safe on arrival which was satisfactory resolved.

The property is very well appointed and furnished to a high standard which meant we were very comfortable despite the inclement weather for most of the week. Should we wish to return to Anglesey we wouldn't hesitate to return to Hafod and its proximity to Beaumaris.

Reading the review left by Diana we went into the cottage after her stay,and yes she was spot on with her review the cooker-oven kept tripping the electrics out so we left after a couple of days yes we also had a nightmare holiday….

having booked with Sykes Cottages in the last 12 months 5 holidays and enjoyed all our holidays with them I would not recommend this cottage as we found it to be not very clean.There was also a problem with one of the showers as you could not regulate the temperature of the water as the cold water did not flow through therefore the water was scalding hot.It would appear that this was also a problem in 2019 according to a past review.The dustbins were overflowing when we arrived so there was no room for any more rubbish in them. /

After the first night staying in the cottage our little dog started to itch really bad and was very uncomfortable.

The next day we found she had caught fleas. She was professionally groomed a few days before we came to Anglesey so we know she didnt have any fleas before we came. We also had a few flea bites on us after a few days, we could literally see them jumping on us. This was awful and made us feel dirty. I really wanted to leave, but we had so looked foreward to being back home in Anglesey for Christmas for the first time in 13 years. But instead of enjoying myself and having a relaxing break with my Family. I spent the whole week treating fleas and having to deep clean!!! This was bad enough, But Our Christmas was really ruined by the oven being faulty tripping out every time you tried to cook anything! Christmas eve was an absolute nightmare trying to prep and cook our Christmas meats having to re set the electricity at the mains box, wait for the wifi to reset whilst trying to watch a film etc. As you can imagine, this was very stressful, being we were meant to host our Family for Christmas day. This was the whole reason for us to book the cottage in the first place. We ended up having to re arrange our whole plans, and take the meats to my parents house and Daughters house in Llangefni to finish cooking. We had to rearrange to have Christmas dinner at their house instead of with us at Llangoed. Lucky all our family lives in Anglesey or we would have had to go back home to Staffordshire, as I couldn't stand being there any longer. I would like to be refunded as the whole week has been ruined and been really disappointing to say the least. We did try to email the owner, which we got an automated (out of office) reply!

Wonderful cottage very welcoming

Lovely quiet peaceful location and we really enjoyed our stay.

However, slight smell of dogs on arrival, possibly because the vacuum cleaner was full of dog hair and gave out really unpleasant smell of dog when used. The garden would benefit from some comfortable chairs. Also the ability to turn car round on driveway would avoid having to back out into the road.

Perfect for a large family or group of friends. Tucked away in peace and quiet, a short drive to local areas/supermarket. Really cosy and comfortable.

A tastefully renovated cottage,combining old world charm with modern water heating and central heating systems.

Comfortable, warm and well equipped. A very high standard compared to other holiday lets we have stayed in. Very clean with all amenities required for a comfortable stay. hope to go again in the future.

Lovely cottage and very comfortable furniture.

In a beautiful quiet location, but not too remote. Excellent walks from the door. Everything we required for a lovely relaxing weekend away with the dog. A pint of milk, some butter and a loaf of bread on arrival would have been very welcome, but other than that would definitely recommend.

Lovely holiday cottage with good facilities for our extended family of six.

The cottage was clean, easy to keep warm and had lots hot water for showers. There was good parking for our two large cars and everything was easily accessible for our older family members. The only tip we would give is to bring additional cups as there only appeared to be six so we were forever short of them. There were loads of places to visit from the cottage, we particularly enjoyed Beaumaris and Penmon Point (the annual parking pass for Penmon, was a great idea - thank you).

As soon as I arrived I knew this place would be a little gem !

It's literally the best place to relax .. it's comfy and clean and a joy to stay there. The weather in early October can be hit and miss but we were all warm and cosy in the house. The beds are comfy, the bath is amazing and the showers are powerful. Would highly recommend for every age and family... My two little dogs loved this place too !

We had a lovely holiday, however did think it was slightly closer to the coast, (from the last photograph).

The cottage was very comfortable, with tasteful furnishings, very bright and airy. Comfortable beds. Could have done with another set of towels for the kitchen and some oven gloves. In close proximity to coastal path so great for walking the dogs.

The cottage is a perfect haven for a quiet holiday, which we needed, the one and only down side was that it is a drive away from a beach or place to exercise our dogs.

If you are young and fit this would obviously not be a problem rather part of the holiday but as both my husband and I are over 70 years of age and not very fit at all we needed to drive to such places. But the sun shone every day and we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely atmosphere in this cottage, which isn’t picked up on by just looking at photographs.

Extremely comfortable marshmallow mattresses, and an uncluttered bedroom, which is essential for my partially sighted husband. Tranquil, peaceful, cozy and quirky. Ticks all the boxes, and the free standing bath is amazing, with tons of hot water. And the views- amazing!

Loved the relatively isolated location but only a few minutes drive down to the village. Easy access to beautiful beaches and viewpoints and adjacent to the Anglesey Coastal Path. Superb views across the Menai Straits to Snowdonia. A very relaxing location.

The cottage is well equipped with everything you need and beautifully styled throughout. The coastal path is a short walk from the front door and the town of Beaumaris a short drive away it's ideal for exploring the Island of Anglesey. This is an absolutely beautiful house.

It was welcoming, bright, airy and immaculately clean. It had everything you could wish for. In addition the location was perfect for us and the views from every side of the house were just stunning. Without doubt we would definitely return here!!

Stunning cottage, well equipped and great views.

On arrival cottage was very clean and as described. Walked to Penmon Point on one of our days which was about 2.2miles from cottage. Beaumaris bit further but the nearest town, fish and chips from Neptune were nice.

We think this was our sixth booking with Menai Holidays, and we have always enjoyed our cottages. It is so easy to book, and if you have any queries, just ring up and talk to the friendly staff at Menai.

Hafod cottage was in a lovely location we felt it was on the prettiest side of Anglesey with stunning views from the kitchen, it was also very clean and had all the necessary facilities to enjoy our stay.

One very small point was the settee and chair in the lounge were not the most comfortable and unfortunately the previous tenants had failed to use the recycling bins correctly and had obviously failed to put them out as they were somewhat overflowing. We would most definitely recommend the cottage and hope to return one day.

It would be good if there was a washing line and more space to hang clothing in bedrooms.

Excellent holiday cottage in every way!

Being all on the ground floor it was perfect for our elderly, disabled father. There are few cottages that provide so well. Spectacular views from cottage also, would definitely recommend, one of the best cottages we’ve ever stayed in!

The bungalow was amazing , the only thing was the settee and chairs were too worn and had no support Other than that there was nothing to complain about.

The bungalow was well stocked with everything we needed, it was clean , bright and had plenty of space. The shower in the en suite was very tricky as the cold water didn’t seem to be working so it was very hot. Would definately like to return but wouldn’t be able to if the seating was not changed , that would be my only complaint.

Lovely cottage.

It was cosy, very clean and had beautiful furnishings. We had a great week there and didn't want to leave. The only problem we had was getting lost on our way there, probably us not following the directions very well.

Very clean, warm, homely cottage but settees were extremely tired and needed replacing

It was a lovely cottage (and we have stayed in many holiday cottages) lovely and clean.

Our grandchildren loved it especially the garden. Beautiful view from kitchen window.

It was perfect, except the ensuite was freezing, we had to cover up the vent.

If you want a place to de-stress in total peace and quiet then this is the property for you.

As we got out of the car the first thing that impressed us was the outside seating area. So carefully thought out with much attention to detail paid. Unfortunately, we didn't really have the weather to benefit from this. On opening the door to the property, it certainly has the 'Wow' factor. All light and airy, white painted wooden floors throughout and tasteful interior design and decor. It makes a change to have everything co-ordinated and furnished to a very high standard. Well equipped with everything you need. Felt very comfortable and welcoming, with being OTT. If I had a £1 for every time my husband said, "I'm really impressed with this place" and "I'd definitely stay here again," our next holiday would be paid for! I can honestly say we have nothing negative to say about this holiday rental.

The cottage was perfect and we were blessed with beautiful weather. Sunrise walk to Penmon, fish & chips at the Oyster Catcher and stunning views at Plas Newydd. A fantastic week.

Our favourite holiday cottage on the most beautiful island. This year we saw six red squirrels. We visited all the usual places plus Penrhos coastal parc - Fab!
