“An excellent cottage let down by a few niggles, mainly to do with how original build was kitted out.”

Taps that dribbled in use, or were very stiff, shower head that would not stay in position. These were very minor compared with everything else that was excellent.

The property

Located on the west coast of Anglesey, the holiday development of Tyn Towyn has been a labour of love for the owner.

They have ensured that every holiday cottage is a statement of comfort and quality, with oak farmhouse doors, carefully chosen art, great kitchens and gleaming bathrooms. "One of eight fabulous cottages set around a courtyard.

Each holiday cottage is individual with carefully chosen art, great living spaces and gleaming bathrooms.

A perfect retreat central for Trearddur Bay." The main courtyard has a pretty fountain tinkling in the centre - so pretty and romantic in the twilight.

Just a short stroll away is the lovely beach in Trearddur Bay. There are eight cottages, each one named in Welsh after the colour of its front door.

Ty Coch means 'Red House', and its accommodation offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. To view the other properties at Tyn Towyn, please click here.

About the location

Holyhead 2 miles.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
