Well what a place this was!

I’m so glad I booked this property for 5 nights, I only wished I could have booked for longer. The cleanest and most comfortable property I’ve ever stayed in, the location was fantastic and very scenic. It has everything you needed and even things you didn’t realize you needed!! The property owner was lovely and having spoken with her previously it was a delight to meet her. I do hope bookings open for next year soon

Beautiful house and location.

We've just stayed here for the 3rd time as a family of 4, each time the house has been spotless and well equipped. The decking is a great place to while away a sunny morning with views of Holyhead Mountain. It's a very quiet area with fantastic dark skies view of the stars at night, we were lucky enough to catch a meteor shower during our stay and had a great view. Our younger child made good use of the trampoline! Thanks Sam, we'll be back again.

We really didn't want to leave!

Everything was top quality right down to the towels, pans, cups etc everything you needed, it was spotless, the lawn was well cared for and enclosed, perfect for our little dog. Holyhead only a 10-15 drive to supermarkets. Lovely location, went up to south stack lighthouse to see the sunset one night, right on the coastal path for walking, and great to spend time in the hot tub after, I'm not one for usually going back to the same place, but we definitely will be back! (Shame its only for 6 night bookings but I guess its because its kept to such a high standard, emptying and refilling of hot tub, lawn maintence etc it all takes time and makes all the difference)

A lovely property close to Treaddur Bay and walking distance to the RSPB cafe at South Stack.

Great views in all directions. The house itself is beautifully decorated and very well provisioned, with everything you might need. Lovely and clean. Communication with the owner, Sam, was excellent from start to finish. We loved the fact that various treats were provided on arrival which were very welcome after a long journey. Everything was perfect and we will be back!

Amazing property in a wonderful area, walking distance to the lighthouse with stunning clifftop views.

The property is super clean with everything you could possibly want. Beds very comfortable with great bedding. Sam was helpful and on hand if you did require anything. We were lucky to have glorious weather. Would definitely return. Our dog enjoyed the stay and would say that this accommodation was the best yet for our dog for the enclosure that he had. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this holiday cottage.

Sam was responsive and helpful. It was very clean and spacious. The hot tub is a perfect luxury addition and we enjoyed stargazing from it! Excellently situated for walking to South Stack. We would return.

It’s in a beautiful location with wonderful views. The property is spotless. We couldn’t fault it at all. The owner is really lovely and friendly. She didn’t intrude at all. We happened to see her and we had a lovely chat. I would definitely recommend.

The property is in a stunning location with fabulous views and the upside down layout takes full advantage of them.

The two double en suite bedrooms worked brilliantly for us as did the enclosed garden for the dog. The interior was beautiful and everything was of a very high standard. The kitchen was well equipped and the property was spotlessly clean and lovely and warm and Sam was a pleasure to deal with. I don’t generally leave reviews but would absolutely recommend. Thanks for a great stay Sam - we loved it!

The property had everything we needed, especially if you enjoy a great coffee, and Sam was available if we needed her. It’s location is great for visiting South Stack with plenty of trails for dog walks.

We really enjoyed staying in the cottage.

The facilities for cooking and washing were really practical. The beds comfy and the rooms cool. Our children also really enjoyed the trampoline, and the location was beautiful.

Amazing place, we had a fabulous stay, everything was spot on, clean, plenty of kitchen utensils etc, comfortable beds, great showers, lovely hot tub and Sam the host was available if needed.

This is a wonderful property in a perfect location.

We have stayed in Anglesey on five previous occasions, and this is far the best of the lot. Sam the owner was the perfect host, always there if needed, but discreetly away from sharing your own personal space. It was a great holiday, and we will be back soon!

Ysbryd y Mynydd is an Amazing place to stay .

The location is so peaceful. With Amazing walks within a short walk or drive to RSPB South Stack to see the sea birds . The property is done to a very high specification. With everything you need for a comfortable stay . The Kitchen is home from home . With washer,dishwasher,oven,grill and Microwave. And all utensils and pans etc . The livingspace is on the upper floor which is light and airy with views across the open fields . The bedrooms are downstairs . Again light and welcoming. With a large walkin wardrobe and stunning en suites in both bedrooms . There is a hot tub with private screening and cleaned before arrival and chemicals checked daily . Towels provided for outside use . Sam is an amazing host and left us a lovely welcome pack of Prosseco, cake and local shortbread which was lovely . You wont be disappointed if you decide to holiday here .

Amazing accommodation with a super friendly host.

A great location, only a short walk from the South Stack Lighthouse, with numerous small beaches within a short drive.

The house is spotlessly clean, spacious and light. The kitchen is FULLY equipped and each bedroom has its own en-suite. The owner is very friendly and helpful and regularly checks that the hot tub is clean if you have paid for it. We did, and it was well worth it after a day of hiking and exploring the area.

We always love staying at Ysbryd Y Mynydd as it is such a beautiful house and place to stay.

The little welcome touches from local produce such as Barabrith & shortbread goes a long way. The house is always immaculately clean and homely and very comfortable. The host is very welcoming and always to hand if needed.

Ysbryd y Mynydd is a fantastic holiday property.

The location is perfect for those that want to explore nature and enjoy the views. Sam has thought of everything. It is well equipped and immaculately looked after. It is very modern but still has an inviting feel about it. There are instructions regarding all appliances including heating which was very efficient. Contact with Sam was easy and straightforward. She responded to questions very quickly which is always reassuring.

This is without question the bast place in the UK we have ever stayed.

The property was immaculately clean, was situated in a fantastic location, and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. Just perfect for the type of holiday we wanted. There are lots of lovely walks about, several small beaches near and close to some great sightseeing locations. Plus, although you feel like you’re literally in the middle of nowhere, you’re less than a 15 minutes drive from Holyhead with every shop and amenity you could need, so forgetting something or taking everything you’ll need for your stay isn’t a problem. The property was completely clean, and although might not look it with the open spaces, really comfy and cosy of an evening. The open plan upstairs is great for small families and you’re treated to fantastic view from where ever you’re sitting. I’m really missing enjoying breakfast looking over the gorgeous scenic hills You can really tell that Sam, the host, has a passion for making peoples holiday special. Her attention to detail is brilliant, and she had just the right level of contact as to ensure your holiday and the property is okay, but nottoo much as to be overbearing. She was even so nice when our toddler caused a small breakage, only charging us for the replacement item, and not any additional breakage charged. Anglesey has become a firm favourite of mine, and although I do like staying in different properties each visit, I will struggle to not want to come back here, and will probably base my next visit to the isle around the availability of this property.

An amazing holiday cottage.

Spent a week there could have stayed longer. The place was very modern, cleanliness a 5 star and the hot tub and views were gorgeous. Thanks Sam for an experience we will remember forever!

We had a fantastic time.

The location is terrific for beautiful walks and seeing birds and the landscape. The accommodation is perfect. Sam has thought of everything. Sam takes cleaning to the next level. It's spotless. It's like nobody was in there before us! Additionally, Sam was so kind and thoughtful. I mentioned that we're vegan when she asked about the bbq so she bought us oat milk and lots of vegan goodies. Arrangements were easy. I would thoroughly recommend Sam and Menai Holidays.

Wonderful cottage which is well maintained and comfortably furnished.

The kitchen well equipped for our weeks stay with coffee and milk, water and some lovely biscuits supplied. Thank you for your consideration in supplying these. We asked for the Hot Tub which was fantastic and well worth the small cost. We had some great walks which we could access from the cottage, so the car was left secure at the cottage. Wonderful stay and many thanks to Sam. Wonderful cottage and would love to come back again.

This is a well equipped, well designed, cosy yet modern cottage very close to South Stack lighthouse.

Contact with the owner was good, but there were no problems and we would be happy to stay again in the future. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved our stay!

We booked for three nights this was not long enough! Really felt like home, all the facilities provided was more than you could ever expect the accommodation was absolutely gorgeous we really could not get over how lucky we were that we had chosen such an amazing accommodation Samantha really is an amazing host and we definitely would be rebooking. The views as well - wow! The perfect stay for couples and families :)

We enjoyed are stay at this property 5 years ago and the cleanliness and equipment for a trouble free holiday as not changed.

Sam was obliging and helpful when we contacted her about our holiday. We had sunshine every day and after our trips around the Island to return to Ysbryd y Mynydd and sit outside with drinks was a pleasure.

A perfect choice for long or short stay.

This was my second stay, I had previously stayed with my sisters for a weekend, and this time returned with my family for 6 nights. It did not disappoint, the same feeling of home from home, the same excellent standard of being welcomed before arriving and the duration. Its clear to see the owner very much cares about the guest experience, and has thought of everything possible to ensure guests have the most enjoyable stay. Thank you so much.

Ysbryd y Mynydd is a fabulous property!

It was everything the listing said it would be and much more! The location is perfect for a relaxing get away, with sea views from the generous sized garden. The decked area was fab for al fresco dining and had lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The hot tub was a huge bonus and enabled us to wind down and feel completely relaxed. The property has been beautifully finished with attention to detail throughout. Very clean, spacious and everything you could possibly need is provided. Last but not least, the owner is the most welcoming and friendly host you could wish for. We will definitely be back next time we visit Anglesey.

We had an amazing stay at Ysbryd y Mynydd.

The cottage is spotless, cosy and modern. The owner is wonderful - keeping in touch making sure everything was ok before, during and after our stay. We loved the luxury of the hot tub and the views are just beautiful. Location is great for getting about but is out of the way enough for a lovely sense of getting away from it all. Hands down the best cottage we have stayed in and we will definitely be back soon!!

I’ve just returned from spending the coronation weekend at Ysbryd Y Mynydd and I can’t recommend a place more.

The property itself was spotless. Everything you could need for a weekend away was provided. The location was beautiful, so peaceful. I highly recommend a visit to the south shack lighthouse which is just a short walk from the property. The owners were wonderful. They provided an excellent instruction pack, they were kind enough to leave a few goodies for our arrival and checked in with us during our stay to ensure everything was okay. We will definitely be retuning.

We absolutely loved our week at this property.

It was in a perfect rural location with mountain views and was very well equipped. The garden was secure so our dog could run around safely and we all loved the hot tub and relaxing in between walks and trips to explore the local area. Sam was the perfect host and was very responsive to any questions we had. We would recommend it to anyone.

Our new favourite.

In the 40 years since we married we have stayed on Anglesey at least once a year. We have stayed in every sort of cottage/ caravan and hotel. We really love Trearddur, but this has got to be our favourite. We stayed as a party of 11 in this cottage and next door for an anniversary celebration, there is literally something for everyone. We had runners, walkers, bird watchers, TV watchers and book readers....we also had some trampoliners by the end of the holiday. The cottage is comfortable clean and has literally everything you need and more. Sam, the host could not have been more helpful, she found us walks and even an Indian Takeaway that delivered. The hot tub here was pristine, and with the most amazing views. I would book to go again today, but it is incredibly popular, as soon as I see a vacancy I'll be in there. Karen

This lovely cottage certainly ticked all the boxes - well fitted bathrooms, comfortable beds, walk-in wardrobees, luxury kitchen and comfortable seating area, we could not fault it.

Sam, the owner, is very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. If we could give this more than 5 stars we would. The setting is beautiful, just a short distance from South Stack, and there is so much to do on Anglesey that we are already planning our next visit!

Probably one of the most wonderful holiday homes we've ever stayed in.

It's super stylish and very carefully thought out. The location is second to none, with gorgouse views in every direction. South stack RSPB is just on the doorstep, and of course the lovely picturesque coastline is right there too. I had the best nights sleep I've ever had in my life in this uber comfortable house. Well, what can I say about this amazing place that hasn’t already been said?

! The location is amazing, not too far from the town of Holyhead for shops/supplies, we got a Tesco delivery for the evening we arrived. The barn itself, is set right on the coastline surrounded by open fields, sea and mountain views, it really is breathtaking. South Stack Lighthouse and RSPB centre are literally at the end of the lane the barn is set on. The place itself is so welcoming, tea, coffee, milk, wine and cake left for our arrival were much appreciated! Sam, the owner, is just lovely, very warm and friendly, she’s done an amazing job converting the barn into a open, modern, yet cosy space. Underfloor heating throughout, comfortable beds, an en-suite to each bedroom, large comfy sofa and a kitchen with so much kit that it made cooking a very easy experience - we wanted for nothing. The hot tub of an evening was welcome after a day running around with the kids! I’d thoroughly recommend staying here, accommodation, setting and owner really are second to none…

We have just returned from our second visit to this wonderful property and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

The location is perfect, a brilliant base for exploring the local area with plenty of walks straight from the door. There is a large, fully enclosed garden area for furry friends to run about in. The property itself is scrupulously clean, extremely well equipped and comfortable. Very comfortable bed with good quality bedding. Everything you could possibly need for a restful, comfortable holiday is here. Sam, the owner is lovely and welcoming and provided lots of useful information prior to our stay. We would not hesitate to recommend and most definitely plan to return.

What a fabulous property.

Wonderful views of Holyhead Mountain and great walks straight out of the door. Everything that you could want or need in the house .The design , layout and furnishings were exceptional and it was obvious that a lot of thought had gone into the property. The Hot Tub was well worth the extra and added a special touch to the holiday. Sam the lovely owner greeted us and waved us off . We have stayed self catering on Anglesey many times but this was the best. Very highly recommended. Moira and David

Everything was perfect. The accommodation was in a lovely location with great views, exceptionally well presented and so peaceful. Everything was catered for, "a real home from home". Will definitely recommend for nature lovers and walkers alike as there is an abundance of places to visit and enjoy. Plenty of outdoor space for our dog and for sitting outside and enjoying the views. Will definitely be returning in the future.

A beautiful Cottage in a fabulous location.

The Cottage was cosy and warm despite the horrible weather and the bed was so comfy we always had a great nights sleep. It really is the best Cottage we have stayed in and we would definitely go back . Thanks for everything Sam , you really have an amazing Cottage

Fantastic, modern, comfortable and lovely cottage.

We were a family if 4 adults and even though open plan upstairs the room is well organised / furnished with lots of natural light. Sam has done a great job in presenting the cottage, leaving a small hamper on arrival (really nice touch), being on hand to enhance your stay but not in your way. We paid extra for the ‘Hot Tub’ which was fantastic after a long walk to relax and unwind in. Bedrooms, bathrooms and walk in wardrobe all add to a fantastic experience / stay. Ample parking, decking area and garden all add to a fab weeks holiday. You will not be disappointed with your stay here!

The house was lovely, Sam the owner was really friendly, she was close by if we needed anything, but we didn't as everything was perfect we had a lovely welcome tray too, thanks Sam, The house was spotless, We had great weather and enjoyed sitting on the decking in the evening looking at the stars, The area is great , so many nice walks, we saw red squirrels at plas nwedd (national trust), and also at The dingle nature reserve, and we saw a seal whilst at the Country Park near the breakwater, we can't wait to return,

Best place we've found on Sykes

This was our second stay at Ysbryd y Mynydd - again it was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 children.

It's in a very peaceful area with wonderful coastal views. The property is lovely with spacious bedrooms, there were some nice touches such a fresh pint of milk and a bottle of wine waiting in the fridge for us! As the house is in such a quiet area you do need to drive to get anywhere - but you can reach most places in Angleysey within 30 minutes drive, including the Menai Strait where a lot of the tourist attractions are. I hope we'll be back again.

One of the best holiday properties we have stayed in.

Tastefully furnished and very well equipped. The welcome pack was a lovely added touch. Location wise, if you want a relaxing holiday with stunning views and fabulous walks this is the place to stay. Additionally the hot tub was wonderful after a long walk to chill out in and soak up the wonderful scenery. We will definitely be returning to Ysbryd Y Mynydd.

Communication from Sam, the owner, prior to our arrival was great. She supplied all the relevant info in an email. The cottage was super clean, not a speck of dust to be found, which was reassuring in these COVID times. We had absolutely everything we needed and all pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, bedding etc were of very good quality. The property is very comfortable and the location is wonderful. Stunning views on all sides and walks straight from the door. Our miniature schnauzer, Mollie, loved the large, properly enclosed garden and was safe to explore. We had a very relaxing break and the hot tub was an added bonus and very well maintained. We will most definitely be returning and would not hesitate to recommend.

A high spec Holiday let, beautifully presented, and a degree of cleanliness it would be hard to beat.

It is obvious that Sam the owner has an eye for detail and a commitment to high standards. A neat enclosed garden, useful when you have a dog, great view from the property of Holyhead Mountain and only a short walk to the coastal path leading to South Stack. A good base to explore this part of Anglesey.

Accommodation was very clean and comfortable.

..lovely temperature, warm but not stifling...well equipped...light and airy.Parking was easy and it felt private but not isolated as owner Sam was close by if needed. Great location especially for Breakwater Country Park.

The cottage is absolutely 5 star, being very stylish, warm and having every convenience.

Sam the owner is responsible for having created this wonderful home from home, and is a fabulous hostess. The situation of the cottage is excellent with lovely beaches and restaurants in easy striking distance. To evidence how good it is to stay there, on the Wednesday (23rd Sept) a film crew from Escape to the Country spent the day interviewing Sam about the cottage. It is that good.

The accommodation was excellent, the only criticism we would have was we found the corner unit a bit uncomfortable, this was probably not helped because of covid & the lack of soft furnishings- cushions.

The rest of the accommodation exceeded our expectations & the owner Sam was very helpful. We would recommend this accommodation to our friends, & would certainly use it again.

Loved the property, just like a home away from home!

The cottage was well equipped with all we needed and even some extras we did not need such as a Washer/Dryer, the bed was very comfortable and bedding looked very new.

Sam who was there on arrival was very helpful from first contact to leaving. The home had a few luxury touches like electric blinds that worked from remote and LED mirrors in the bathrooms,flat TV in all rooms along with sky TV in the main room,there was also free wifi throughout the home. The location was excellent miles of open land,fields and rocks could be seen from all windows. The front of the home was all glass and your view is farm land and a Mountain, there is a small road at the front with very little traffic may be busier in the summer months as it runs up to the Lighthouse. We found it very relaxing and no noise what so ever after around 7pm not even a car passing. We will be returning for another stay when we have time. Great location, Great property, Great Host.

What an amazing upside down cottage, we spent Christmas away from home first time in 30 plus years.

On arrival stunning cottage, beautifully decorated already for Christmas spotlessly clean, everything we could need & more location beautiful. We can’t praise this cottage & location enough we really feel we hit the the jackpot, lighthouse one way beach the other both five minutes away. Sam was so welcoming & friendly nothing was to much trouble, mince pies, milk & bottle wine, perfect welcome. We have been coming to Anglesey for many years, this has to be the best five star cottage we have stayed in & we will definitely be going back. Thank you Sam.

A truly beautiful and comfortable house in a magnificent setting.

November is not known for it's good weather but we knew that the house would provide warmth and comfort for us to look out at the elements, whatever they decided to bring. We were there to celebrate an 85th birthday on 28th November and also remember and celebrate our friend/ Pat's husband George, who would have been 78 on the 26th November. He sadly died earlier this year and we wanted to do something special in his memory. This house ticked every box. A huge thank-you to Sam who was both attentive and discreet in equal measure, the perfect hostess.

The cottage has amazing views due to all the glass.

Very soundproofed which was good as the road it’s on leads to a well visited lighthouse, never heard a thing. Shower rooms were excellent. Sam,the owner met us and made us very welcome We will be visiting again next year

Very quiet and peaceful.Short walk the lighthouse at South Stack.Anglesey is a lovely island.Roads quiet. Added bonus in house a good TV with Sky and facility to record.Very spacious and modern accommodation. This is our second visit and will book again

We have had another very comfortable stay. Well equipped and maintained. Sam an excellent owner who puts a great deal of effort into making sure that you have a great holiday. Thank you Sam. We hope to be back next year.

Ysbryd Y Myneydd is the most fabulous holiday let.

The build is very high spec, with great care taken to make it environmentally friendly throughout. The equipment and furnishings are of a very high standard and the views are to die for! It's very easy to get around the island from the property and it's just a short walk to South Stack lighthouse. Sam, the owner, was friendly but unobtrusive. I will definitely be recommending this let to friends and family and hope to be back myself one day. Five stars plus some! Feedback can be published anonymously, or just credited to Mel.

The Owner Sam we found overbearing even moreso than when we stayed last year hence we will not be returning !

Every time we were out she seemed to be around the property spraying weedkiller not a good idea when you have a dog the grass was cut while we were out, sorting the bins and recycling the day before we left. The hosepipe was used for dogs water and left off the tap when we went out and was back on when we returned.The door was cracked waiting repair and she asked us to keep it closed so we were up and down letting the dog out unable to leave door open and it was very warm . We felt uncomfortable and like we were being watched luckily she did go away for a couple of days so we could relax. We go on holiday to relax and I think when you have paid your rental that the property should be in your care for the duration of your stay without feeling the owner is watching you . We left the property clean and tidy as we did last year . What a shame a beautiful place .

The house and Sam, the owner were amazing.

It's the loveliest house we have stayed in and we could have spent hours just looking out of the huge windows at the landscape if there wasn't so much to do. Everything was beautifully clean, comfortable and thoughtful. The kitchen was extremely well appointed and lovely to use. Beds very comfy and bathrooms fabulous. The setting is wonderful too, the house sits very well in the landscape.

This cottage is in a great location with amazing views.

It is only a 10 minute (uphill) walk up to the RSPB South Stack Nature Reserve so loads of amazing walks and sights. The cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly need and to a very high standard or comfort and luxury. Comfy beds, bathrooms are both ensuite and fabulous, the kitchen is brilliant with every appliance you could need. There is great WiFi, Sky Q TV package, lovely and warm and comfortable. Can't recommend it highly enough.

The views are outstanding. It felt instantly homely with lovely interior design. The owner is lovely. The property was incredibly well equipped with great attention to detail. We will definitely come back - it was perfect!

Where to begin?

? Fabulous place - modern with all equipment and appliances. Clean. Stylish furniture, soft furnishings, light fittings, paintings and "ornaments". Good quality outdoor furniture. Beds very comfortable with good quality linen and towels. Upside down house so the views (open fields out of one set of windows and Holyhead Mountain out of the other set) could be admired. Great outside spaces with large patio/balcony (3 steps up to front door); two lawns and plenty of hardstanding to park. We - myself, my elderly mother and Foxxiedog - loved everything and would definitely recommend in a flash without any hestitation.

Lovely cottage!

We spent a week here as a family of 4 with 2 young children. The cottage has a good open plan living space with a well stocked kitchen and two spacious en suite bedrooms. There are lovely views of Holyhead Mountain from the patio and the windows and you can just see the sea from the corner of the garden. The conversion has evidently been done to a high standard. There were also some simple touches which are frequently missed in holiday cottages - there was hand soap by every sink, quite a few dishwasher tablets were provided, a pint of milk was in the fridge ready for our arrival, free WiFi. It's a very quiet location, which is beautiful but does also mean you need to drive to get anywhere. We found you could easily reach all of Anglesey by car to explore. And you can set out on foot from the cottage to pick up the costal path and explore the RSPB reserve. Despite being right in the coast there are no beaches within walking distance of the cottage, but there are some good sandy beaches a short drive away. I'm really pleased we booked Ysbryd y Mynydd and would stay here again.

Very imaginative conversion. One of the best places that we have ever rented in either the UK, France, Australia and Canada. Warm welcome from Sam the owner who was totally focussed on ensuring that everything was to our satisfaction.

Facilities were good.

Only a minor point TV placement could be improved.

Fab cottage, would have been great to get sea view from the cottage, but would stay there again and recommend this to anyone - was a fab walk to South Stack and great place to be located.
