    “A wonderful cottage (despite the steep stairs) in a perfect location.”

    Really enjoyed my stay. The only thing I'd add is that the main bedroom really needs blackout blinds or blackout curtains. It's so bright in the room at night with a street light right outside the window.

Situated in the heart of the picturesque seaside resort of Barmouth is this unique four-storey holiday home, Arran House.

Set a stone's throw away from the stunning coastline of North Wales and within easy reach of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, Arran House makes for a fantastic dwelling for exploring both the coast and country of this remarkable region.

Be welcomed by the traditional décor of the open-plan kitchen/diner upon entry into this delightful abode, packed full of character with exposed stonework decorating the interior throughout, offering a quaint and homely setting to enjoy your staycation.

Gather together around the dining table taking centre stage in the sociable space to recount the days adventures over a bottle of wine as the designated chef makes use of the modern amenities provided to prepare a heartwarming meal, before climbing the stairs to the third-floor to enjoy a movie marathon in front of the television, backed by the scenic views across the captivating coastline framed through the picture window.

There is a sumptuous double on the first floor, along with a Twin and small toddler bed on the 2nd floor.

In the morning, kickstart your day with an invigorating rinse in the contemporary family shower room, stylishly tiled throughout, before heading out on an adventure.

Pack up the essentials and take the short stroll to Barmouth Beach, and make a splash in the delightful waters of the bay or soak in the sun's rays with a lounge on the beautiful golden sand that decorates the front.

After working up an appetite, head into the centre of town to indulge in the seaside tradition of fish and chips and a stroll along the promenade or sit down for a delicious meal prepared with locally sourced produce at The Last Inn.

A short train ride will bring you to the popular seaside resort of Harlech, famed for the medieval fortification of Harlech Castle, built in the 13th century, here you can test your swing with a game at the 18-hole links course at the Royal St. David's Golf Club (also reachable on the train are Aberdovey and Pwllheli Golf Clubs), or descend on an eerie tour of the Llanfair Slate Caverns.

Lace up your walking boots and head off on foot to explore the picturesque landscape of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, decorated in unspoilt greenery, steep river gorges and striking mountains, home to a fantastic array of walking, cycling and hiking trails.
