What guests are saying
We had a lovely time at this quaint cottage.
It was central for all the main walking and climbing, like snowdon, we did the rangers route, aber falls, circular walk, then did it in reverse. Would recommend highly and the owner was lovely and very helpful. Would stay there again. Have already recommended it to our Son.
This was a late booking, so we were very pleased to find a property in August that we could actually afford!
I had messaged in advance about being a Coeliac and needing a clean oven. The owner bless her, was still in there cleaning when we arrived. She was lovely and made us feel welcome. It's basically 2 cottages with a shared entrance hall. Each property has It's own key, so not a problem unless you get noisy neighbours. We enjoyed our stay, the local scenery is stunning,we managed to get out and about every day, so we had everything we needed. If doing a lot of cooking, you might want to think about what you are going to cook. I had decided to do a stir fry, but then needed to buy a wok! There is a good bed, good shower and plenty of hot water, so all basic needs are met.
Overall the listing for the cottage, contents and location is described well except it should state "singular" for the heating as there is only one storage heater located in the bedroom!
The bed was a bit too firm for our liking but that is down to our preference. The cottage is compact and did feel quite cosy. Unfortunately the down side to the stay, is the fact that inconsiderate neighbours had the tv sound on high with no consideration for anyone else. Had issues with the Wi-fi which kept disappearing, fading and dropping off so was having to move up and down stairs to try and get a signal. The owner did offer to do a router re-set but we just accepted what was happening with no regret or issues. The top score is slightly reduced due to the fact that little things like silicone sealer and the sink worktop near the taps in the kitchen sink area could do to be maintained a little cleaner! Otherwise a very nice cosy feeling place and location for visiting attractions in all directions.
