Royal Oak Cottage

We enjoyed our stay very much and the cottage is in a very convenient location for the port and facilities.

A lovely comfy extremely well equipped cottage.

It is obviously a well loved family 2nd home as well as a holiday let. The beds were comfy, spotless linen & towels & the housekeeper keeps the place pristine. A very comprehensive guide for the visitor - from local amenities to recycling regulations. The local chippy & pub lived up to the recommendations. So welcoming, leaving us a bottle of fresh local milk, complimentary wine & even dog treats! Would definitely love to come back!!

Everything was excellent .

Lovely cottage , great location , very clean , good communication with owners . Highly recommend

We could not of asked for a better experience, we were all over the moon with the accommodation and was truly gutted to have to leave!

100% recommend staying at the Royal Oak Cottage (if you are lucky enough ;) ) Anglesey all round was a beautiful and friendly place. we cannot wait to come back! thank you so much for having us!

A brilliant property and location will definitely be booking again for our fourth visit to the royal oak

Fantastic stay, as always!

I believe last time was my third stay.

I have already contacted the owner about 2 issues

Royal Oak Cottage is a superb place to stay - homely with a great location.

Perfect for us.

Fantastic stay in a beautiful area and a beautiful cottage.

We loved the cottage it was cosy and my fave bit it was warm.

. I’ve stayed in places before and when there’s a hive system the owners seem to watch the heating like hawks. Over Christmas I just want to chill out and read, it’s not nice when a place gets cold..

The cottage is wonderful .

It’s in a great location for exploring Anglesey and around Port Amlwch. It comes with everything you will need plus it was beautifully decorated for Xmas. Sadly we experienced awful weather but the local pub and chip shop plus the cosy interior made it a lovely place to stay warm.

Great property and accurately advertised.

Very comfortable, all the kitchen equipment needed, fabulous shower. Lovely welcome gifts left by the owners. Great pub and chippy opposite, great walks and all dog friendly.

Possibly one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in, it has the lot beautiful interior and looks special from the outside, it lacks nothing very cosy beautiful kitchen, in fact, the whole cottage is outstanding, a wonderful position right next to the port, pub, cafes, main shop and lots to see and visit around .

Lastly, the owners were so attentive to our needs, plus getting us out of a huge mess after leaving our house keys there, they soon got them back to us the next day. It was such a pleasure to stay there and we will certainly return.

Nice cottage, cosy and clean.

Sandwich bar in the car park think it’s only open on a weekend. Pub 2 minutes away and a chippy next door though I don’t recommend this chippy chips very very salty. Lots of nice walk’s. Garden at the cottage is not really a garden but enough to let the dogs out, it has a secure gate. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Found it difficult to use kitchen appliances, even though wr had instructions.

Not use to electrical hob, microwave infrastructure of window and looking into the light could not see dials on stainless steel back ground.

A great, well equipped cottage, at Amlwych port.

A few metres away from pub, chip shop and coastal path. Not too far to explore Anglesey beaches and bays. Very clean, great communication from owner- lovely stay- thank you!

A wonderful well equipped beautiful cottage, so clean and comfortable and cosy.

What a great location for the port to watch the fishing port and for the coastal paths and what a view from the path. Lovely pub and chip shop very close.

Cottage was so well situated close to the coastal path - we love our walking.

It was most comfortable, cosy and clean. So many beautiful places to visit - historical towns and sites, beautiful scenery and amazing beaches. Favourite visit was to South Stack RSPB site where we were lucky enough to see Choughs. Lovely owner kind enough to send on something I left behind! All in all, loved our stay on Anglesey.

Very welcoming cottage with everything you need for a self catering stay.

The little extras like milk, a bottle of wine and welcome card were much appreciated. even the dog was catered for with biscuits and an emergency box for anything you might leave behind which came in very handy as we forgot the dog bowl!

The cottage is filled with everything you could wish for and easily accessible for getting around Anglesey.

We were really impressed with Rachel and Allen with their regular contact with us and of their concerns of us having to leave earlier than planned partly due to our little dog Sid not settling after being unaware of his surroundings and the wet and cold weather we were subject too after what had been a glorious few weeks before... But that can't be helped... We just prefer the hot warmer weather and being outside, but overall we did have a lovely time and managed to get out and about and see parts of Anglesey we hadn't seen before including 2 National Trust properties near by, would definitely have held out a bit longer and visited more beaches if the weather had changed and we would recommend Royal Oak Cottage as a base. Great chippy across the road and Bistro nearby that did a lovely pizza... All in all a lovely 4 days holiday.

Excellent property very well maintained and furnished.

If you are tall you need to take care in a couple of areas. The outside space is a tad disappointing as it is very small but ok! The amenities locally are good and the locals are friendly. Close to the coastal paths for some Excellent and challenging walks especially if it wet. Would book again without hesitation

Great house in great location.

Friendly people in pubs. Plus, you can take your fish and chips into the Liverpool Arms. Two pubs and chippy within a decent stone's throw. Have been recommended to do an online shop rather than going to the co-op which is about fifteen minutes walk away. A kind welcome gift and card on arrival. I travelled with a friend and my two children who had a wonderful time. My only criticisms would be somewhat petty: no coat-hooks and it was a rainy week in February

Great location, right at the mouth of the harbour.

Cottage was perfect with all the facilities and equipment needed for a relaxing break and lots of coastal walks with our 4 legged friend.

I would definitely stay in the Royal Oak Cottage again.

It was perfect for me as it has a good internet connection and a great environment to work remotely. It was very quite, cosy and comfortable and close to a coffee shop and a chip shop. Plus there's the co-op up further up the road in Amlwch itself. There was everything I needed in the kitchen for cooking. It's also on the port itself which is great for walks if the weather is fine. The hosts were very prompt in getting back to me if I had any queries. I look forward to staying there again soon!

We had a great stay at Royal Oak Cottage .

It is in a lovely location right on the harbour side with the coastal path on the doorstep and a short drive brings you to beautiful beaches . The cottage is spotlessly clean , warm, cosy & very well equipped , absolutely everything had been thought of. The welcome gifts were a lovely touch, there were even treats for our pooch . Communication from the owners was excellent . One of the best cottages we have stayed in !

The cottage was perfect lovely little welcome bottle of wine and dog biscuits and some delicious fresh local milk.

The bed's were comfy and it was lovely and warm. The cottage is in a perfect location to see all the best parts that Anglesey has to offer. The village has two lovely pubs and a cafe with delicious breakfast. Some lovely walks from the village itself and the port was a hit with the kids. We will definitely be back. Thank you

The cottage was an absolute delight, location and facilities were amazing

Need to highlight that there are 4 stone steps into the kitchen for the benefit of those with mobility issues or very young children and a lock on the door to the downstairs loo would be welcome.

Otherwise a lovely, well fitted out cottage with all you could possibly need. Really enjoyed our stay. Nice, quiet location. Very relaxing.

We had a super holiday at this lovely well equipped cottage.

It had everything that we needed & was very comfortable & homely. Well stocked Co-op nearby & fantastic gluten free chippy just down the road. This was a great base to explore the beaches of Anglesey & we were very lucky to have the weather on our side. Our hosts gave us a lovely welcome & provided excellent communication before & during our stay.

Very clean, comfortable & well equipped cottage

A lovely well equipped cottage in a very pretty setting.

Great coastal walks all around. The Cottage was well maintained and very clean. We had to leave early a the car broke down and had to be towed back to Staffordshire. Un finished business we will have to come back.

The property was excellent in a great place would like to thank Allen for his quick response on a small problem would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be returning next year

Lovely clean homely and very well equipped cottage they have thought of everything, great Location as a base for exploring the Area.

There is a Local chippy; 2x pubs down the road and the port is 30 seconds away to watch Local fishermen bringing the catch home. We had to Leave early Due to a family emergency, But !!! We will Definitely Book this cottage again.

A faultless experience from start to finish.

A well-equipped and clean cottage in a perfect location to explore Anglesey and Snowdonia. Thoughtfully, the cottage comes with a "spare" of anything the dog owner may have forgotten. The washing machine was a great asset as was the large fridge freezer. The owners have thought of every last detail in this period cottage equipped with a modern kitchen and bathroom. With the personal touch of being contacted by the owners just before and at the end of our visit, The Royal Oak Cottage deserves a 5-star review.

Warm and well equipped cottage in a lovely location, with eateries in walking distance.

Very spacious and comfortable, one of the best cottages we've had. We never had a problem parking, even in half term week. A zip & link bed would give even more flexibility. We would definitely return.

Lovely warm and welcoming cottage.

We really enjoyed our holiday. Good base for touring the area. The dogs loved it too. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Thank you Rachel and Allan for the very nice welcome we received and the dogs loved their treats.

Wonderful cottage, very comfortable and homely.

Great access for coastal path in both directions. Pub and chip shop both excellent for food and very welcoming. We were lucky with the weather and really enjoyed our stay thank you.

Cosy, warm and well equipped.

Excellent location for birders.

We all loved our stay at Royal Oak cottage, Clean , comfortable, warm , cosy with everything you need

We had a lovely break, it's good it's detached & the beds were very comfy & a decent shower is always a plus.

..the downside being that the property is on a corner & therefore it used as a turning circle mind you it didn't help as filming was going on on the quayside so maybe that has increased traffic.

Had a very pleasant break.

The cottage is in a great location. The kitchen is very small but very well equipped. We had to use the electric fire most evenings as a little chilly with just the one radiator in quite a large lounge/dinner. The bed small compared to what we're used to but matress comfortable. The shower is lovely. Great communications from owners.

lovely location, lovely cottage, heating on Hive brilliant.

everything clean and fresh on arrival, great welcome card and some mince pies really made our day, thank you. Having christmas decorations was lovely as well.

I had a txt message of the owners saying about dog walks and porpoises spotted which I saw and enjoy your stay.

A welcome card wine dog treats local milk which was a lovely touch. The place was spotless to nice to bring dogs really. I can’t fault anything would highly recommend this place relaxing before the Christmas rush.

We had a lovely week in Anglesey.

The cottage was very clean great facilities and the owners very helpful. Many Thanks

Royal Oak Cottage was a home from home.

It was very comfortable and had everything you could possibly need during your stay. It is a fab little cottage. The hosts were great and even left us a bottle of wine, some doggy treats and some lovely Anglesey milk. Would highly recommend this cottage. Oh and the shower is amazing!

It was a pleasure to stay at Royal Oak Cottage we Found it very clean an comfortable .

It was such a lovely, cosy cottage and in such a nice, peaceful location.

The chippy and two pubs in walking distance were really good and a lovely harbour to walk down to in the evening. I hadnt realised that I left a jumper in the wardrobe and the owners very kindly and efficiently posted it back. I would highly recommend a stay at the Royal Oak Cottage.

Lovely cottage in a great position for coastal path and local amenities.

Beautiful home from home, ideal situated everything within walking distant.

plenty of parking space.

2nd Visit to Royal Oak Cottage 4 Adults and 2 dogs.

We'll equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Comfy beds and brilliant waterfall shower. Welcome Wine Milk and treats for the dogs. Two local Village pubs and a chip shop right on you're door step.

A lovely property in an ideal location for exploring Anglesey.

Almwych Port has everything you need - 2 pubs, a cafe, fish and chips, ice-cream and a gorgeous creperie. Lots of lovey walks with gorgeous views of the coast and a supermarket a short drive away. The property itself is very much home from home with everything provided including a welcome gift, would love to return again in the future.

The cottage is in a fantastic location in Amlwch Port with a short walk to the jetty and coastal path one way and the other is two lovely pubs, a fish and chip shop and creperie.

The cottage is cosy and decorated beautifully throughout in a beach/nautical theme. The beds were super comfortable, kitchens fitted with all the mod cons and bathroom had an amazing waterfall shower. The milk, biscuits and wine welcome pack was a lovely gesture and made us smile after 4 hours on the road. We would definitely recommend Royal Oak Cottage to both couples and families. The addition to accepting pets makes it more desirable.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location.

Happy with all facilities and rain shower head was a favourite with members of our group. The cottage was comfortable and tastefully decorated for a seaside cottage. A good size dining table for meals and playing games! Although a tiny outside space we managed a drink and snacks in the sun! No problem for our dog as plenty of lovely walks straight outside cottage front door. Info provided in cottage useful and there was a welcome pack including doggy treats which was very thoughtful. Parking was fine and not far to many interesting places and lovely beaches.

A lovely well equipped cottage.

Beautifully decorated throughout, a real home from home. Excellent communication from the owners and a lovely welcome gift on arrival. I would definitely recommend.

We have just returned from a fabulous week at Royal Oak Cottage.

The house was comfortable, well-equipped and beautifully decorated. It was also located in a spot which was convenient to explore the beautiful isle of Anglesey. We had a full week of fun and my granddaughters said it was their favourite holiday of all times, so much so, they did not want to leave at the end of the week.

We felt extremely comfortable staying at Royal Oak Cottage.

The beds were very comfortable. We had eveything we needed and more! The only slight drawback was lack of a proper garden ,especially for our dog to make use of.However,it was a pleasurable activity to walk across the road and walk her along the quay and further,so not a massive issue really. It clearly is a much loved property and felt cosy and cared for.Thank-you for a really lovely stay last week.Anna,Stuart and Simon Taylor

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Royal Oak Cottage.

The property was equipped to a high standard with everything that we needed. A real home from home in a good location for exploring beautiful Anglesey.

We had a fabulous week in this lovely cottage.

It was comfortable and extremely well equipped. There were lovely beaches, coastal walks and really good eating places in the near vicinity and the weather was fabulous too which mad it even more perfect. We had a little problem at the beginning of our holiday and Rachel, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful and caring and checked up on us regularly to make sure that we were ok which was lovely of her. We would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage and the area to anyone. It was fabulous. Many thanks.

Couldn't fault the property, exactly as described.

The location is excellent for either a chilled out break without the car, lovely walks are all around. Or as a base to explore Anglesey.

We had a lovely week in your cottage.

It was very comfortable, well furnished and supplied with our every need. The situation on the quai and being actually on the Coastal Path made it ideal for interesting walks and views right from the doorstep. Lovely weather completed the deal!

Great place 2 stay, clifftop walks and everything else you need for a lovely time with dogs, definitely recommended for a break in Anglesey

Fantastic stay

Nicely appointed and very comfortable accommodation.

Great to be close to the coastal footpath and, better still, the pub and fish and chip shop.

Absolutely beautiful cottage very homely.

Lovely and clean. Everything you needed. Beautiful little village, very friendly pub and all the people very welcoming. Will definitely be booking again.

Royal Oak Cottage was a delight, everything we needed in a very comfortable place.

All in a great location with lots to see and do virtually on the doorstep. Hosts very welcoming and accommodating, wish we could have stayed longer. Already discussing our return trip. Thank you Rachel & Allan

This is an amazing place to stay.

well located on the harbour side. The cottage is lovely we could not of asked for anything better. Everything you needed was at hand. I cannot fault our stay in anyway, it was wonderful and the hosts where very accommodating.

Beautiful cottage in an idealic setting, cosy and comfortable, well equipped and great for some lovely walks despite poor weather.

Would most certainly return, very helpful and hosts Rachel was great and attentive hopefully be back soon

Lovely cottage in a very good location, close to lots of beaches and local walks.

5 of us (3 kids under 9) stayed here for 4 nights. Place had brand new kitchen and new/clean bathroom. Owners were very friendly and welcoming!

We absolutely loved this cottage and would not hesitate to come and stay again.

The location was perfect with all you could need around you. There is a Bistro, a chip shop and a lovely pub opposite which sells excellent food! The cottage itself was so cute and comfortable and an amazing beach just a short drive away.

On arrival we found Royal Oak Cottage immaculately clean and welcoming.

Kitchen was very well equipped and maintained. Lounge cosy and very comfortable, double bedroom comfortable. We didn’t use second bedroom but again it was crisp, clean and spacious. Bathroom was to a high standard, spacious with a super shower. All appliances & TV etc. were of high quality and helped to make the stay very relaxing and stress free. Position of the cottage adjacent to harbour and a short walk to coastal path made it ideal for easy dog walks. The pub just over the road was very welcoming and friendly. An ideal spot for an Anglesey break!!

Excellent location, plenty of room, everything we needed was provided

The only drawback was the large table in such a tiny space outside, Our labrador couldn't spend much time out there which was a pity.

Otherwise everything was excellent..

The cottage was very comfortable and warm we were a group of four plus two dogs, had a real homily feel.

In a great position walks to the harbour, costal walks and a great beach at Lligwy beach [LL72 8NN] 20 mins away. Two pubs and a good chippy near by. Very dog friendly in both pubs, locals very also helpful and friendly. Would recommend a stay here. Would book again. Keith and Christine, wendy and mike, sam and penny all 60 plus.THANKS.1

Excellent cottage , great location over looking the harbour , right on coastal walk with great dog walks along the cliffs.

We would recommend the Parys Mountain copper mine walk , best dog walking beach in Wales few miles along the coast Lligwy, for historic buffs Din Lligwy worth a visit 2k yr old historic settlement and 4.5k yr old burial chamber

We had a great break and found everything we needed at the cottage, with some nice complimentary additions, which were much appreciated.

Good eating places within walking distance and there are some great walks from Amlwch We didn't need to move the car at all and the weather was great to boot. Many thanks - Val and Bill

The property was lovely however, not dog friendly if your dog needs to go out during the night.

The courtyard was very small and there was a huge bench outside the back door which stopped any access. Apart from that it was really nice and central.

Perfect location for a quiet family holiday, right by Almwch Harbour with beautiful views, geat for a stroll down to the loft for refreshments.

Cottage had everything we needed, comfortable, nice modernised main bathroom, only a small space outside but given its great location wasnt an issue. Can recommend both the Chippy and Caban y Cei as great easy local options for food. Would happily return here for another break.

Really lovely period cottage in a great place near the port.

Nice touch of welcome wine and biscuits on arrival. The port has a pub, chip shop, great cafe, kiosk and Co -op just a short drive away. Plenty of free parking near the cottage. A great base to be with easy access to beaches and other attractions. The cottage itself has a great living/dining room. It was really cool on those very hot days we had. The bathroom is nice and really up to date. The bedrooms were clean and tidy. I am used to a larger bed for more room. The single beds in the 2nd bedroom were great for a family. Great tv, washer, dish washer to use in the evening. I loved all of the decorations throughout the cottage that made it feel like a seaside cottage. This cottage has only been available for a short time so I am sure updates will be made. The only criticism I would make is to update the kitchen because it was looking worn. We had a lovely stay and would recommend the cottage to others. We would definitely book the cottage again.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming.

The property was, clean, well equipped and nicely decorated with a nautical theme. Overall we were very impressed and would certainly recommend the property.
