Plas Mor

The location and view is amazing.

Loved the addition of the telescope. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. It was a little dusty with lots of cobwebs in the corners though (right up the wall in the bedroom) and the kitchen floor was crummy. Maybe we were on a quick handover day? Also a heads up to the owners, the roll top bath is amazing but the plug has a leak so you have to run the water as you soak after a long days walk. The local walks are gorgeous. Perfect for the dog. The short walk into town was also lovely, with easy access to the train station, harbour and local shops. We went to Portmeirion which is 15mins away but car, got some gorgeous pictures. Also, on street parking was always available. We didn’t pay in the car park once.

The property is wonderfully situated, overlooking the inlet of Borth y Gest.

It is well appointed, cosy and easy to warm up. It is nice and clean and well maintained, with many of the kitchen and bathroom fittings being quite new.

The location of Plas Mor is undoubtedly spectacular and Borth y Gest is a fabulous place to completely unwind.

You could sit in the kitchen window for hours staring at the ever changing view of the tides and of the cob. A short wall into Porthmadog where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from and shops to peruse, Plas Mor itself is dated, smells musty and is fairly comfortable. Towels aren’t great and as you only get one large one per adult you might want to bring your own. Main bathroom is lovely with an excellent shower and bath. Dishwasher wasn’t available as leaking but rest of facilities good. Overall a three star property let down by its tired appearance.

The property was in an outstanding location with fantastic views across the estuary.

Unfortunately, the accommodation fell short from the offset which is detailed below: 1) The toilet in the bathroom at the front of the property did not flush. This was extremely inconvenient as we had to use the toilet on the ground floor. We contacted Estelle the person responsible for preparing the property for the next guests, and she confirmed that she would contact the plumber to visit the property and fix the problem. We contacted Estelle later that day who confirmed that the plumber had visited the property. However, the flush was still not working and he stated that the toilet needed spare parts to fix the problem. Looking back through the reviews at the house, it is obvious that this is a problem that has existed for some time as previous guests had reported the same problem. 2) We found dog hairs on both settees, which means that previous guests allowed their animals to use the furniture, extremely annoying as we are dog owners and would never allow our dogs to slumber on furniture. 3) The dishwasher leaked once on the night before our departure; this is for your information in case there is a problem with the machine. 4) In general, we found the property needed some updating. 5) One of the teapots was chipped on the spout, potential health hazard. 6) The coffee pot also had a chip, ditto above. 7) It would have been very helpful to have had a facility to hang wet clothes We have stayed in a number of properties in Borth y Gest and have always enjoyed excellent accommodation. We love the area and will be back at some point in the future. We consider our stay was marred by the above problems and we are seeking an appropriate compensation. We look forward to your response. Plas Mor is a gem of a place to stay.

This was our third stay at the property and we have already booked for next year. A star attraction is the view from the back window overlooking the sea with the view of the estuary and the distant mountains. The nautical themed decor is charming.

This is our second stay at Plas Mor and was just as enjoyable as the first.

No issues were encountered and even the weather was reasonable for the first week of March - only one really wet day. Reading the Visitors' comments to the Housekeeper, the only suggestion that we would strongly support is the installation of a blind to the lounge window facing the street. Being part of the Wales Coastal Path, it can be very busy with walkers. Sue and Jim

Property was spacious and in a good location, we managed to park on the road outside the property, although I guess it was because our stay was out of season.

Facilities were good and had everything we needed. Carrot Cake in the Bistro along the road was fabulous, and the owner and staff in their were so welcoming.

Accommodation downstairs superb.

Upstairs, double bedroom ,superb view but bedroom too small a bed felt cramped and too small.bigger bed needed an wardrobe moved out onto large landing. Twin bedded room needed updated furniture ,A few plumbing issues ,dripping taps,towel rail not working an a bit of damp by window in the back bedroom.

A very well appointed cottage in a truly beautiful location.

The house is very well equipped, with everything to make a comfortable home from home. Beds are very comfortable and both bathrooms work well. Would certainly recommend .

Despite it being near the end of the season the house was very clean, although there were a few minor maintenance issues.

A number of cottages we've stayed at have absolutely reeked of air freshener, so it was such a relief to find no trace of these at Plas Mor. Stunning views from the house, which is well situated for great walks.

This property was fantastic because it was clean, in a peaceful location, garden was lovely though the hedges could be clipped for a clearer view.

The house was spacious and clean though the rope handrail on the stairs was an issue for those with mobility issues. Overall, it was a wonderful break away.

Nice property.

Second bedroom dark furniture and a bit un inviting.. Needs better decor I feel. Outside garden furniture needed cushions as wasn't comfy or clean. Living area is a lovely size.. I do think blinds on windows would be a good idea as lots of people walking past all the time. First impressions important and the front outside space could be so much nicer too. But on the whole a really lovely cottage with beautiful views a perfect spot.. Clean on arrival And will be going again.!

It is a fantastic holiday house and we have already booked for next year. We love the nautical theme of the decorations. I did find the shower floor a bit slippery so an additional mat would be helpful. Thank you.

A wonderful holiday cottage perfectly situated with lovely views across Borth-y-Gest harbour.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and full of character, the local touches like the Portmerion tableware and seaside themed furnishings worked well. The dog-friendly aspects like the back garden overlooking the harbour and stair gate worked well. It was nice to be able to walk to the beach, a pretty woodland at Parc Y Borth, and the heritage railway in Porthmadog from the cottage. We look forward to visiting this clean and cosy cottage with its tasteful decoration and varied local attractions again.

Lovely cottage.

Very clean and warm. Everything there you could want. Beautiful views at the back of the property. Only one small suggestion would be the bins location. The steps going down to the lower ground outside a little precarious. Maybe better situated out in the back garden on the level ground. And more information on collection days in the pack. But thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will be looking to book for next year. Thank you very much

We were dissspointed cottage was lacking finishing touches ,only one toilet roll per toilet, no hand towel or soap downstairs toilet.

Towels for bath were well used and shabby. Wardrobe second bedroom dusty and smelt damp,and the dressing table draws dusty. .setees uncomfortable and could do with renewing. Lack off tv channels. And ajoining house was in terrible state looked dilicked, not good for advertising hoilday cottage. On a good point views were lovely. Always stay with these hoilday letting agents but this cottage wouldn't recommend.

Amazing property with fantastic views and location for a peaceful and quiet holiday.

Ideally located for long walks along the coast and the property is well maintained, lovely and warm and very comfortable. Didn’t want to leave!

I love this property and this was my second stay here over the Christmas week.

The house is warm, comfortable, comfy bed, good main shower and has amazing views at the rear. It contains everything you need at a holiday rental. It's full of character and history. It's perfectly located in Borth y Gest, only minutes walk to the beach and harbour. We've never had any issues parking in BYG even in peak season, we visit a lot as my partner spent his childhood here and we both love the area. We didn't use the garden as it was winter but I'm sure it is lovely in the warmer weather. I have to admit, I'd read the reviews from October and November before my stay and I was worried about what the property would be like when I arrived. I didn't find anything like the reviews say. However, that said, the property was not as clean as my previous visit in December 2023. The kitchen was in need of a good deep clean, kick boards were very grubby, cupboards and splash back tiles had drips and splashs on from previous guests, a lot of crumbs in and under the toaster. Under the front of the cooker was a layer of grime that the mop was clearly was not getting for some time. The bottom oven didn't work, we didn't need it, but had I have wanted to cook a Christmas meal here, I would have needed someone out to sort it. The top oven was so smokey, it made my eyes water, so I abandoned warming up my bread rolls and had them cold. Most doors were grubby with hand marks etc. and skirting boards, upstairs in particular, were dusty with lots of cobwebs around the radiators. The covers on the sofas were grubby particularly on the back of the one in the window, as were the cushions. The windows were very dirty and when the sun briefly came out, you couldn't see through them particularly at the front of the property. None of the above was a major issue during my stay but it has put me off booking again. For a premium priced property, I expect a little more. I will say there were no dog hairs anywhere which I'm grateful for, as I have a poodle who doesn't shed, so I'm not used to dog hair. The Internet on the TV didn't work as the connection box for the TV was missing from the property so we only had basic TV for the week. Again not a major issue for us. I was contacted 2 and a half hours after I left the property to ask if I'd taken a cushion from the sofa by mistake which I was a bit miffed about. I'm really not sure why I would. Overall this is a nice property but it needs a deep clean. My previous stay had been perfect.

If I could give no stars I would about the property .

We turned up excited for our stay our holiday and rest was needed . When we opened front door we knew that we wouldn’t be staying. The house had a very bad smell of damp and urine . We went in to look and there was damp on wall soon as u entered property. The wooden floors were stained and rugs well they were fit for bin . We further investigated upstairs there was no proper handrails only a rope to get up . If you have a disability then this is a big problem nowhere in the description of let did it say not suitable for disabled persons. The stair treads were cracked and ready to split . Going out to the rear of property you have to descend into a basement area which the smell was absolutely disgusting. It was damp and mouldy on walls . Looked really spooky . Wouldn’t really want to be letting my dog out late at night down there as there’s no front garden . As you can see it wasn’t great it was that bad we didn’t stay 1 NIGHT we went straight home very disappointed . We rang Skye’s and told them hoping they as the letting agent would assist .NO THEY DIDNT they said contact OWNER we paid £600 to SYKES SO THEY SHOULD SORT IT !!! The owner then said we should of stayed to give them time to rectify the PROBLEMS!!! We don’t want to stay on HOLIDAY when people are coming in deep cleaning or changing rugs or painting damp walls or fixing stairs !! I HOPE PEOPLE SEE THIS AS RIGHT AND THAT AM NOT BEING UNREASONABLE TO STAY IN A HOUSE THAT NEEDED REPAIR !!! After speaking to the cleaner/OWNER THEY INFORMED ME THEY HAVE SHUT THE HOUSE DOWN FOR S MONTH TO SORT THE ISSUES OUT AS ITS BEEN A LONG YEAR OF LETTINGS

House is in a great location and views from the property are stunning , really easy to get to Porthmadog and around via bus or car .

We had no issues with parking at the house and loved waking up to the views , the bed was very comfy. The house is a good space , but it really needs a deep clean and the overall upkeep of the house we felt let the stay down. For example, the bath anti slip had pink mould on it, the bedroom had mould, bathrooms had very mouldy grout, fridge was dirty, sofa covers marked etc and not sure on the big rugs in the bathroom for hygiene reasons. When we arrived the house was very cold and was cold in the morning, it would be a nice touch if the heating could be put on before arrival. Once we located the thermostat it did warm up but there are no instructions for what to do with rubbish at the house , operation of heating etc so we had to guess. The tea and coffee canisters were pretty much empty, bin bags not placed in the bin and no surface spray or wipes etc to be found, so make sure you bring your own but a nice gesture of milk and Welsh cakes at the house! The stairs down into the garden are actually via an internal staircase which is fairly steep and the area smells strongly of mould - also not sure if someone lives in the downstairs area as it looked like another apartment. We felt a bit unsure/unsafe as it felt like someone had access from this area up to the main house as there is no lockable door between the house and internal basement stairs. This made us not want to use the garden so we took our dog around the block instead through the front door. £20 for a dog cleaning fee feels rather steep considering the overall condition of the property which has so much potential.

The location was perfect for us as we loved the views from all the back windows.

The space in the house worked well for us too having two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The house is a little tired but that didn’t really bother us except for the shower in the back bedroom was leaking into the kitchen above the dining table which we left a note in the housekeeper’s note book regarding it. The only downside for me was the garden furniture was very uncomfortable with no cushions provided and didn’t get much evening sun at all due to high hedges. We made use of the benches dotted around the village but couldn’t really enjoy some privacy and a few glass of wine which we like to do after a long day out. There are plenty of gorgeous coastal and woodland walks from the house and a brilliant bus service to and from Porthmadog where connections to other beautiful places were available and regular. We made full use of these and went somewhere different most days. All in all we felt that Plas Mor worked really well for us. Thank you very much, we hope to be able to return sometime in the future.

We love this area of Wales and given there are a quite a few rentals on offer, they’ll be hard pushed to beat Plas Mor’s location on the bay.

We absolutely loved our holiday and are sad to return home, The area is so beautiful we having been coming to this part of wales for a long time but this time the icing on the cake was the house which i have to say is a home from home very light and comfortable everything you need perfect base that you look forward to coming back to from your days out or just to relax at the house.

The beds are comfortable and that view overlooking the harbour and mountain was just wonderful to wake up to that every morning it was truly amazing and good for the soul. we will 100 percent return next year just looking to book today Thankyou so much for a wonderful holiday xxx

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Plas Mor.

Love Borth y Gest and cottage has super view across the bay and further. Lovely walks from there. Just a great place to take in the ambience of the area.

The row of terraced cottages containing Plas Mor look derelict, one property in particular had broken windows.

The property was smelly, particularly with strong odour of stale cigarette smoke. The beds and sofa were tired and worn out. The property has no parking. One of the locals that lived on this street had difficulty with parking.

Never had a problem parking on the front. Lovely coastal walks straight from the front door. I liked the idea that there is a housekeeping book where you can leave suggestions or any issues with the property. A deep clean is needed but it didn’t effect my stay. I would love to return and will definitely recommend to others.

What a lovely place!

Generously and tastefully equipped, good shower, comfy beds, lovely beaches on the doorstep, short walk into Portmadog, and sunshine! We appreciated a hallway to leave boots and dry the dog. As for the steep stairs mentioned in previous feedback - its a normal size staircase. Elderly dogs and people may want to descend with care and we carried our puppy but it's neither extraordinarily steep or narrow. We would happily come back.

Great location, ideally situated for dog walking routes.

Within easy access to Porthmadog, either by car,bus or on foot. Cottage was well equipped with wonderful views of the estuary, only downside was the tv reception, couldn't get bbc at all, other Freeview channels were unavailable for a couple of days probably due to the local geography and a storm, will definitely book again, loved it.

Plas Mor is a fantastic house with incredible views of the harbour, estuary and mountains.

Its very comfortable and well placed at the edge of the coastal walk to go straight to the beaches. We've had a lovely stay over new year. The house is clean; comfy and spacious (bigger than the photos indicate) we'd love to stay again in the future.

Absolutely beautiful property.

One of the cleanest holiday properties we've stayed in. Very comfortable bed. Spacious open plan living room and kitchen / dining area. Everything you could want or need was available. We've spent many holidays in Borth y Gest over the years and this was probably the most relaxing and comfortable property. Will definitely book again.

Plas Mor is a delightful property in which to have a holiday.

Views from the bay window over the waterside setting provides constant interest, be it boats and boating activities, birds feeding when the tide has gone down or views across the estuary to the distant mountains weather permitting. The property itself is warm, clean and spacious with many charming nautical decorations and pictures. Rarely have we stayed in a property where so much attention has been given to making the interior so attractive. The kitchen is well set up and I was pleased to discover a freezer. The discovery that Plas Mor was once a pilot's house adds to the interest and a visit to the Maritime Museum at Porthmadog is not to be missed as it will enhance the historical understanding of this outstanding area.

We've enjoyed this property a few times now.

We had a nice time and a nice holiday we do love Borth y Gest but I do agree with previous comments about the amount of dust, cobwebs and the amount of flies!

! I understand we are in the summer months but I can’t understand why or how many flies love Plas mor! The towels provided are really small more like hand towels so bath towel would have been nice. The bathroom carpet needs replacing I think many people have stepped onto it out of the shower and it has an unpleasant smell to it. Beds were comfortable well equipped expect for a rolling pin my husband improvised but would have liked one to use. Thank you for having us

The location of the house is superb.

A beautiful spot - looking out to the estuary and sea. Well equipped. Spectacular scenery. Nice touches with Portmeirion crockery. However the place was not clean. My bedroom was dusty - dust on the bedside lamps, skirting boards covered thick layers of dust, cobwebs in the bathroom, dirty bathroom, and dog hairs galore. Black dog hair all over the duvet. I dropped a earring and when I was looking for it on the floor there was more dust and dog hairs. I stood up and my trousers were covered in dust, short white dog hairs and longer white dog hair . Underneath the bedside rugs was quantities of dog hair. My lungs react to this quantity of dust and dog hairs and I became tight chested. I would wake coughing in the night. The information on the house claimed that "dogs are not allowed upstairs", on beds, on sofas. Clearly guests take no notice "no dogs upstairs" rule. The company needs to be clear on dog hairs and invest in a proper vacuum cleaner that removes dog hairs. I would not have booked Plas y Mor if I had known that dogs had been on the bed. If I book with Sykes again it will be in a property where dogs are not allowed as I can not trust what your information .

Wonderful, absolutely wonderful.

The house is right on the beach. It is very comfortable and well equipped. There are 2 fabulous cafes 2 mins walk away. A regular bus service, a free book swap in the bus shelter, a mobile post office all serve this tiny village. It's a 15 walk to Porthmadog with a wonderful fishmonger, greengrocer, baker and butcher. A high st just like the old days. I didn't use my car once all week. Don't hesitate. Book it!

Plas Mor cottage is in a beautiful sleepy coastal town in West Wales.

The pictures and description of the cottage are accurate but it was let down by some cleanliness issues. We arrived to large black flies (not fruit flies) in the kitchen and lounge window, which we alerted the owners to but they couldn't explain. The previous people obviously hadn't cleaned up very well as we had to wash all crockery, cutlery, glasses and pans in the dishwasher before using anything and moved the chopping board only to find a filthy worktop. We slept well as it is peaceful. The main bathroom is lovely. Walks from the door to stunning beaches, to Porthmadog and Criccieth made up for its shortcomings, but I'm afraid we wouldn't return to Plas Mor. Overall the property is a nice space for a holiday stay but it is in need of a little TLC. Cobwebs in the lounge and en suite bathroom especially.

The house was amazing.

Every room was filled with beautiful soft furnishings. The kitchen was very well stocked , with lovely crockery not like you usually get in a holiday let . The views . Well what can I say . Stunning . One of the best places we have stayed in

Great stay, would recommend.

Arrived on a very cold weekend , took a while to find boiler then learn how to use. Would have felt nicer to enter the property with a cozier feel. Stunning views. Everything catered for with a few welcome items. Overall a great weekend and would gladly repeat it.

Summer of 2022 was our second stay at Plas Mor.

We were hoping that the garden would have been sorted but this was not the case. It is in dire need of some TLC and the rats at the bottom of the garden were not welcome visitors. We understand they are probably inevitable being so close to the harbour but feel that had the shrubs and plants been kept cut back and tidy the problem may not have been so bad. We did contact the caretaker straight away but the matter was not resolved during the week of our stay. The garden furniture is all mismatched and rather uncomfortable. We love the position of the cottage and it’s facilities and equipment are good although the settee covers are a nuisance.

Second time we have stayed at Plas Mor.

We find the location excellent lots of walks for exploring the area. The house suits us plenty of room well equipped except for the hairdryer. It's like a relic from the 70's absolutely no power to style your hair. It should be included in advice to bring your own! Hairdryer aside would use the cottage again.

The property is in a beautiful location.

We would definitely book again. Parking wasn't an issue with ample space on the street. The 3 bistros in Both Y Gest are dog freindly and great places to sit and relax. Easy walking distance into Porthmadog or out onto the bigger beaches. It should be pointed out in the listing that the steps down to the garden from the front cloakroom are very steep and anyone with mobility issues would need to walk around to the back of the house through the car park. We also had to do this with our elderly dog who couldn't manage the stairs, even the two younger ones were a bit wary. But this didn't detract from our holiday, the spaciousness of the property, the views, the beaches and the friendly staff at the bistros more than compensated for this slight niggle.

Very old house but we have a great view and everything is nearby!

Plas Mor was provided us with the perfect Easter break.

The cottage was very comfortable, tastefully decorated and well equipped for all of our needs. We never tired of the ever changing views over the estuary and mountains in the distance. Borth y Gest is an ideal location for anyone looking to explore the North Wales coast and Snowdonia. Also a lovely coastal walk from the front door. Borth y Gest and nearby Porthmadog and Tremadog have great places to eat.

Really enjoyed the holiday - we have already booked again for next year Although property was clean it was not superclean - certain touch points such as drawer knobs and curtain pulls would benefit from antibac wipe - but this not put us off - we always clean to our own standards when we arrive Property is well equipped although for summer use might benefit from loungers in garden

Enjoyed week at Plas Mor very lucky the weather was lovely.

The stairs to garden were very steep my small dog had to be carried she was so frightened of them. We found a pair of shoes left under the bed by previous occupant which is off putting that he cleaner had not checked when cleaning. Otherwise the facilities were good.

This was our second visit to Plas Mor and again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

However, despite having lovely weather, we were unable to use the garden because there were only 2 hard, very uncomfortable cast-iron chairs, the grass was long and uncut and the leaves and debris outside the back door were unsightly. I would strongly suggest the owners invest in some nice garden furniture and then the place would be perfect.

Amazing location, spacious property, so many windows offering incredible views, comfortable beds and sofa, although not spotless it was clean where it needed to be clean, so quiet - the house and Borth-y-gest.

Location, location, location

Plas Mor is a beautiful house in the most amazing location with fantastic views.

We would definitely stay again. The house is finished, equipped and decorated to a high standard. The owners have thought of everything, including a clock which tells you the tide times. Lovely walks and beaches close by and of course the harbour directly in-front of the Plas Mor's back garden. We really enjoyed the telescope in the bay window and spent a lot of time watching the wildlife and sea, very magical.

Plas Mor is a beautiful cottage in a wonderful position on the edge of the sea.

Borth y Gest is a lovely village with easy access to the coastal path and beaches. The cottage is very well equipped and the WiFi excellent. Our only grouse was the double duvet. So heavy, lumpy and uncomfortable ruined my sleep unfortunately. We will definitely stay here again and take my own duvet.

Plas Mor is a fabulous cottage in a lovely village, spotlessly clean and in a gorgeous location.

Wonderful views of the estuary, mountains and the steam train in the distance. We will certainly go back.

Plas Mor is a lovely cottage with stunning views over the estuary and generally well appointed, though the kitchen could possibly be better equipped, i.

e. no corkscrew, or roasting tin. Our main problem was with the double bed which is futon-style, i.e. a thin mattress on wooden slats which was hard and uncomfortable. Any rental house of this standard and price should have a fully sprung mattress and base as standard. I know from friends who have rented this cottage in the past that they have reported the same problem with the bed, but obviously nothing has been done. We didn't use the single beds but I think they were the same as the double. Otherwise everything was good and if the bed is replaced we would certainly book Plas Mor another time.

Very spacious house with lovely sea views all very comfortable and well equipped.

The location of the house was perfect with the excellent views of the sea at the back of the house.

It was also incredibly spacious and comfortable. We will definitely love to stay again.

Just returned home from a very enjoyable week staying at Plas Mor, Borth y Gest.

We found the property to be very spacious, warm, cosy and comfortable with amazing sea and mountain views we never tired of, whatever the weather. The house is like a tardis, and much more spacious than it looks from the front roadside picture. The property was well equipped with quality items, which we appreciated - the owners had thought of everything even an apron for the cook!! It was exceptionally clean and tidy on arrival. We were visited by three lots of friends during our stay, two who relocated from the Midlands to Wales many years ago, and two friends who stayed with us for a few days. Without exception, during our conversations the same word kept cropping up 'homely'. That sums up Plas Mor - HOME FROM HOME by the sea. Looking through the visitors book, we could see lots of returning visitors - one family had visited 10 times. We cannot recommend this property highly enough, and hope to return sometime.

Only downside was steep stairs to garden which was a problem for my friend,don't think there was any mention of this ,this is only reason we wouldn't return to this cottage,otherwise amazing

Lovely cottage, with a beautiful outlook over the harbour.

Well equipped and presented cottage, and will definitely be booking again. The only issue we had was there was no data usage left on the wifi which was a bit tricky as I didn’t have any mobile phone signal either. Also, the pillows (and possibly the duvets) could do with replacing as a bit tired. Otherwise it was a really lovely stay, and felt very homely.

This was our second visit to Plas Mor.

It’s a lovely cottage in an exceptional location and was beautifully clean. A real home from home. A few small gripes which would really make a difference if fixed- main bed is very small with very heavy duvet and is uncomfortable- we ended up buying a new duvet! WiFi didn’t work and wasn’t fixed when we raised with the housekeeper. On arrival, there was no soap or loo roll which was disappointing when arriving late at night with 2 small children. Last year there was a small welcome pack which we didn’t get this year. These minor changes would make it a 10 and certainly didn’t impact our holiday!! The views are to die for!

It would have been lovely to have had up to date info both in the house and on the website about facilities.

Also a bit more about things to see and do, and maybe history of the cottage.Accurate info on parking would have been useful.Please take as constructive criticism because the cottage was really lovely and when I had occasion to ring Menai cottages the lady I spoke to was very friendly and helpful.

Only complaint is the double bed is quite small and the duvet is too thick.

Otherwise perfect. It might help if there was a note somewhere of what to do with the main rubbish. The views are totally amazing and all the equipment is first class

We also stayed at Hafod Beaumaris which we did prefer. It was very much a home. However the age group of the guests does affect their view of the property! We are in our mid 70s so details like comfy settees, banister rails, more than one toilet(!), flat prom for strolling, etc etc, are much more important for us than probably for most others!!

The cottage was extremely clean and perfect for our four night stay.

The little extras on arrival were unexpected but greatly appreciated. We will look forward to returning again.......

Lovely property fantastic location, very clean and well equipped

This cottage was gorgeous.

Very clean and well presented. A very nice surprise when we walked in to see the decor and the sea view. A very well appointed place to stay in.

Cottage is lovely and in good condition.

I’ve marked down for two reasons; both of which were key factors in choosing this cottage. Main shower - looking at guest book a long history of problems. Initially we couldn’t get it to work, but after plumber came told the mixer is on backwards so need to turn down- this did adjust he temp but it was still too hot to be comfortable and kept getting suddenly hotter, therefore dangerous. Internet - advertised as having available but it didn’t work even after modem moved. Couldn’t even check emails. These meant I had to disturb parents to use ensuite in morning and couldn’t do the work I’d planned to finish up there. Both issues mentioned by previous guests too.

Cottage was superb, will book again, but please install some Wi-Fi as the mobile phone signal for Vodafone is very poor.

Very nice house with a lovely garden and great views.

Very clean on arrival and tastefully decorated and furnished. In an ideal situation - you could spend your whole holiday in the house, garden or the beach - great bird watching.Borth-y-gest itself is attractive with an excellent restaurant; it is an easy walk into Portmadog. Many interesting things to do in the area; Snowdonia; Slate Mines; an amazing Arts Centre near Pwhelli ; the beautiful Lleyn Peninsular and much more.
