Gwynant - Bull Bay

We loved the house, as a large party it was very spacious with a large garden and plenty space for our 3 cars.

The kitchen was big and well stocked with everything we needed. We were also extremely grateful for the welcome pack of items as we had driven over 10 hours to get down to Wales from Scotland and really just wanted to sit down for a panad and a rest! We were even able to accommodate some of our Anglesey relatives round for fish & chips out the back which was lovely. Minor items, we were fortunate with the weather (warm and windy in August) as we went through a lot of clothes plus towels for showers, I think if it had been raining we would have struggled to dry our washing but the line did the job admirably. A tumble drier might be needed in poorer weather. I also think I would put a rubber stop in the small toilet to stop the door hitting the sink (¬: We would happily stay here again as it had everything we needed and more, absolutely ideal for a large family. The area is brilliant, (luckily we know it quite well in any case), so anyone staying here should not be disappointed!

The property was clean and well equipped A new frying pan would be welcome but not essential.

The only down side I'd say,if there is one, is that if you take your furry pal and they are energetic please make sure you keep a close eye, as our hound jumped the wall at the front. We were there at a quiet time but imagine that hight of the season could be busy rd ?

Thanks for the hamper. We would just like to repeat other comments about the shower screen leaking. For 8 people it could do with another shower room. But we all enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay.

The house was perfect for our needs and the lovely garden was really lovely for the dogs. The house was clean apart from the light in the bathroom, which was a bit dusty and white mould on the edge of black shower screen. The shower screen door, is not sealed to the bath, so you have to sit down in the bath to have a shower or the floor is soaked. But this can easily be rectified. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back again. The only thing I think would improve this property, is that it could do with a gate at the side of the house on the drive to separate the front and back garden, for privacy, as well as safety. As when we arrived a dog jumped into the front garden over the low front garden wall, It scared our two little dogs. If there was a gate, they would have been in the back garden only and have been protected from this happening again. Thankfully the dog was friendly and everything was okay, but it could have been a dangerous dog. Also people staying at the property with a big dog, it could jump the front wall and get out onto the main road

Gwynant was a lovely property, ideal for our family holiday.

Everything we needed was there and the welcome pack was a lovely gesture. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent accommodation.

The boiler broke down during our stay and the owner was very quick to have it repaired. The only drawback is that the garden is only dog secure for very small dogs - the front wall is just too low - a gate/fence needs to be erected to stop dogs getting into the front garden.

Walking distance from Amlych and Bulls bay 15 minute walk to nearest pub / restaurant Great coastal walks nearby. Warm and cosy feel , would 100% recommend to anyone who needs relaxation and recharge

Perfect holiday cottage, really well presented.

A perfect base for exploring the beautiful island of Anglesey. The beds were comfortable, a very spacious living area and a well facilitated kitchen, a lovely outside space with a bbq, and large enough garden for the children to enjoy. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone. The only issue we encountered was a ocasional lack of cleanliness, dirty dishes in the cupboards and the bbq set on fire when we lit it as it hadn't been cleaned apart from the grill rack. This did not by any means detract from our lovely stay, but just thought it was worth mentioning for the owners. One last thing is that the shower screen is not really adequate. Lots of water ends up on the bathroom floor, so much so that the mop and bucket became a permanent feature in the bathroom. That all being said, we had a lovely time and will definitely be booking again if we decide to return to Anglesey. Thank you for providing us with a lovely holiday home.

Gwynant was an excellent property to stay.

It was fully equipped. It was close to the coastal pathway. The single bathroom was awkward but manageable.

What a lovely property Gwynant is plenty of room for all of us (5 adults and 2 children).

The location is ideal for exploring the north end of the island just a short walk from the coastal path and plenty of places to eat and drink. We will definitely be looking to book again

We loved the house and it was a perfect location for us.

It was clean, tidy and well equipped with a BBQ and kitchen utensils. Check in and out was seamless and we would recommend this to others. One downside was that only 2 toilet rolls were provided for 8 people which we felt was not adequate but appreciate it is expected to purchase our own, however we think more should have been available on arrival.

A spacious and clean property in a great location, 10 minutes walk to the King's Head pub and large Spar/Co-Op Supermarket, a good butcher and a range of take aways (cash only - cash point at the Co-op).

Brilliant landing at the top of the stairs for rainy days. Fantastic sun trap patio in the large garden. Kitchen has everything you need to self cater but there are some Friendly neighbours. Menai and the owners were very responsive to a couple of issues which were resolved quickly. Couple of suggestions for improvements. The property is dog friendly but the wall at the front is quite low so it could do with a high gate on the side of the house the same as next door. We managed to block it off with creative use of our car and the bins. An en-suite bathroom in the huge master bedroom would be a great addition to the property as going to the toilet in the night downstairs is a pain but liveable at our age. Could benefit from a clothes rail for twin room upstairs as there isn't a lot of storage for longer stays.

We were a family of 7 and the home was spacious for us. The house was well equipped and we had a wonderful week in beautiful Anglesey.

Lovely house in excellent position for touring the island and is close to amenities such as shops and pubs etc.

8 people and two dogs fitted in well, with downstairs bedrooms perfect for older people and upstairs provided lots of storage room as well as two more bedrooms. The garden was totally enclosed so we were confident that the dogs were safe in the lovely well-kept grassy garden. An welcome box of goodies was very much appreciated.

Our family had a lovely stay at Gwynant Bull Bay.

Plenty of space for the 7 of us. We all had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

The cottage is beautiful and well equipped however we found the bathing facilities were not adequate for 8 people, no toilet upstairs and queuing to shower.

I chose the bungalow because two of our party have walking difficulties, I did not think about having to climb into a bath to take a shower.

Fantastic home in a great location, The welcome pack was a great bonus, Lots to see and do, you are never far from some great places, the local pub at the harbor is dog friendly, and they do great food, as long as you like pie!

The house and grounds were in superb condition.

We immediately felt at home with the lovely hamper, especially being able to make ourselves a hot drink before we unpacked. The garden was very spacious for our two dogs but please note that the garden goes all the way around the house and the front wall is low enough for energetic dogs to get over. Would highly recommend to others and the location is superb. Within 5 minutes walk of the coastal path and an area to exercise our dogs. Anglesey is beautiful and we will definitely be back.

This was a lovely property to spend the weekend.

Received a very welcome hamper. With tea coffee and other essential. The bedrooms was clean and tidy with comfortable beds and pillows. The loung and garden was a nice place to spend time with friends and family. My only issue with the weekend, was that we had no back door key. So we had to walk around the property to get to the back garden. Also the Wheely bins had not been emptied. So they was no room for our rubbish. What we ended up taking with us. Apart from them very small inconvenience. It's was a place I would definitely return to.

We had a fab stay here!

Great enclosed outside space for dogs and toddlers with a sun facing patio too. The house itself was spacious and was decorated in a really tasteful style. It was a great base for day trips out - we went to Llangefni, Cefni Forest, Red Wharf Bay to name a few. There were 5 adults, 2 dogs, a baby and a toddler in our party and the house worked perfectly. Thanks for a great stay - we will be back!

We had fantastic week at your lovely property and we would definately look at returning in the future.

Just some suggestions to help people in the future. I think it would have been very helpful if there had been some kitchen cloths, washing-up liquid and some dishwasher tablets or put in the information you need to bring them. Also it was fantastic having an open fire but there were no matches, kindling or newspapers to light the fire with. Also a broom would have been very useful to keep the floors tidy. Just and observation the beautiful bed linen had not been ironed which spoiled the overall look. Sorry if it seems like I'm moaning but I do think the above things will help future customers. Thank you for letting us share your wonderful house.

I thought the cottage was comfortable and the kitchen well equipped.

I do thing a rotary line is needed as its impossible to dry towels on a clothes airer.also a non slip mat for the bath as i nearly slipped twice. On arriving the lawn had not been cut and it was very long so next day my husband cut it as my two dogs were getting wet through. not what we expected to have to do.

A very stylish cottage which appears to be very newly renovated which provides very good family accommodation with four bedrooms.

There is however no toilet or bathroom upstairs for two bedrooms. Lovely kitchen and downstairs bathroom, tastefully designed. We very much enjoyed our stay which was only marred by some dirty bed linen however the house itself was spotless. Sykes did offer to send in a cleaner but we just stopped the bedding as there were only two of us with our Labrador. Tv only works if you have an Amazon, Disney or Netflix account otherwise there is only BBC4 , E4 , Channel 4 so not very entertaining. Once this is sorted then the cottage would be 4 star as it did have a nice welcome park of milk, tea and cakes

Beautiful location and house has been thoughtfully upgraded to cater for pretty much everything you need. Really appreciated the tea, milk and bara brith on arrival. Definitely recommended as a perfect for a family get together.

Lovely stay at Gwynant.

Clean, comfortable & well presented. It would be perfect if there was an en suite upstairs in the master bedroom, a parasol & BBQ available & some plants or colour in garden. We will certainly return to Gwynant.

The house was so clean and comfortable and catered for all our needs. The location was perfect to get around the island and is also within easy walking distance to Amlwch and Bull Bay. One of the highlights of our break was seeing dolphins in Bull Bay. Will definitely be returning to Gwynant next year. Thank you.
