Our 5th time here in this fabulously comfortable house.

An enclosed garden is perfect for our golden retriever and the house has all the extras inside and out to make it a pleasurable stay. The new garden furniture is lovely. In Cemaes there are great walks, lovely coffee shops and a small Morrisons very well stocked. The Stag Inn is ok but very busy. The only downside is the Harbour Inn refurbishment after a fire last year has still not finished but the Gadlys Hotel is great for a meal and a drink just a 20 minute walk away. Linda the owner is a very good communicator so its very reassuring to have contact during a stay there Looking forward to being back!

Artro is a perfect house and very well equipped kitchen, everything you need.

Very comfortable bedrooms with lots of hanging space for clothing. Plenty of storage for shoes and accessories etc. The enclosed lawned rear garden offers good space for dogs to play and exercise. We would happily return here

Artro is a great place to stay in Cemaes.

It is a good sized property with everything you might need: well equiped kitchen/dining area, comfortable lounge with smart TV, second smaller lounge with smart tv (useful for watching sport when others don't want to!), downstairs cloak room. Upstairs there are 3 good sized bedrooms (with 4 double beds) and a shower room. Adequate clothes storage space. Front garden is open and mostly lawn, space for parking 3 cars on the driveway. Back garden is lawn and patio and is enclosed, but the fence is only around 3 feet high, which doesnt afford much privacy. The fence was adequate to keep our dog in, bigger dogs might want to jump over. A short walk gets you to the harbour, beach and village shops. There is not much of a sandy beach when the tide is in, but it is massive when the tide is out. The Stag is an old style pub, the Harbour hotel/restaurant was closed for refurbishment after a fire and is due to reopen late in 2026. A 12 minute walk gets you to the Gadlys hotel/restaurant which is very nice. Cemaes has a good fish and chip shop, a convenience store and some speciallity shops. There are many places to visit on Anglesey for an interesting holiday.

The owners contacted us prior to arrival to ensure we were properly prepared for our holiday, giving us some local knowledge and to update us upon new food outlets in the town, a really nice touch and very welcome.

We really enjoyed our visit and would certainly recommend Astro for a holiday break. Anglesey is such a beautiful island, the people are so friendly and there is so much to see and do. The property was very clean and well presented, exactly as described. Literally two minutes walk to the beach and no more than five to the local Morrisons store, which is well stocked. A very large Co-op is at Amlwch, a five mile drive away for a larger choice. We felt relaxed and recharged, such a good experience, thank you.

A lovely house set on a hill, only a few minutes walk from big beach; you can see the sea from the back of the house and garden, with binoculars provided if you want a real good view!

Quality comfortable sofas, huge windows in the open plan lounge / kitchen which let in so much light. The garden gets the sun all day and there is a patio table and chairs which aren’t shown on the pictures. The kitchen is well equipped and I found all the appliances easy to use - loved having an air fryer as we use ours at home all the time. Washer, dryer and washing line outside. There were only the 2 of us and our 2 dogs so the house felt very spacious. The only improvement I would suggest as a dog owner and with outdoor privacy in mind is to install a higher fence between Artro and the next door house as there is currently only a low wall. Our dogs would have jumped the wall in seconds if another dog had appeared. The other side of the garden is well fenced and secure; it’s just a shame this hasn’t been done on both sides. There is no privacy at present because of the very low wall and next door have a hot tub in full view so I can imagine in busy periods this could be quite intrusive. Also their decking area and patio table is right next to the wall so again you’d be literally watching people eat/socialise etc. Luckily, we did not have anyone next door all week and spent a lot of time relaxing in the sunny garden but our use of it would have been really impacted if we’d had neighbours. We had a great week at Artro and know Cemaes really well so we had a wonderful break. We’d definitely return but only if the higher fence issue was resolved.

Extremely comfortable house with absolutely everything you could need.

We were bowled over with the television, much better than our own so much we came home and bought one. Everything in the house was top class, well equipped kitchen, reclining sofas and chairs. Loved our time there, so quiet and peaceful, 5 minute walk to the beach and village. Thankyou Linda

We were very happy at Artro, the house is immaculate, kitchen very well equipped, and it's very comfortable.

The beds large and extremely comfortable. Owners Linda and Larry, friendly and helpful, lovely. Cemaes bay is a good base for exploring Anglesey, . When we revisit Anglesey we hope to stay again at Artro. Bryan and Wendy.

The house was amazing nice big rooms every appliance you could possibly need.

5 minute walk to the beach and a few shops. Linda (the owner) very nice. The only bad thing was the Weather but that the luck of the draw

The addition of the fence at the bottom of the garden was great for our dogs.

Lovely house.

Had all we needed plus extras, the stair roller gates at top and bottom were very useful as were the nightlights. The double doors out to the large garden has a step that only covers half of the opening, so had to be conscious of this when using those doors. The height of the wall between the two rental properties was not an issue for us as our 2 dogs are only small. We spent many an hour out there in the quiet looking at the sea. The settees were very comfortable, recliners a bonus, as were the beds. With the beach and shops only a few minutes walk and wonderful weather we didn't use the car at all. When we did have to contact Linda she responded very quickly and was really helpful. Thanks Linda. We will definitely be returning to Artro.

Artro is ideally situated for anyone seeking a peaceful, relaxed holiday being in a quiet road yet less than five minutes walk from the beach and the centre of the village.

Inside, the house is finished to a high standard and has everything required for a comfortable stay. We had a very good holiday in Cemaes Bay, helped by the weather, seven days of sunshine.

A great holiday again at this lovely home in Cemaes.

Our 3rd stay. Location great, just 2 mins from the beach, 2 pubs and 3 mins to local high st. Highly recommended is the fish and chip shop and the local cafes. Fantastic cliff walks from Cemaes and if you fancy an extra special venue, the Gadlys Hotel is lovely for a pint or two in the sun or inside, and dog friendly. Date of experience: 03 May 2025

Loved our stay here.

We had a little problem but it was sorted out by the owner very quickly. The beds are the comfiest beds we have ever slept in !

We really enjoyed our stay at Cemaes bay and Artro during October half term.

We chose this house as it looked very comfortable and inviting, as the plan was if it is raining we can watch movies and chill. Luckyly weather was good too and we managed to explore North wales and surrounding areas. Snowdonia is absolutely stunning! We also enjoyed cosy nights at the Artro, watching movies from big screens , gas fire on, and reclining chairs were hit by all of us. Our whippet enjoyed playing in big garden, automatic light was nice to have when it was dark. Our hosts Linda and Larry were always happy to help if we had any questions! Cemaes bay was chilled quiet place, nice beach cafe , which made lovely pizzas and garlic bread during weekends. Also near by is self service milkshake vending machine which was fun!

Fantastic stay at Artro.

Ideally located in the lovely Cemaes Bay. The house itself is beautifully laid out and one of the best stocked kitchens I've seen. The garden is big and our Border collie enjoyed running round. Lovely view of the sea from the patio too. The beds are nice and comfortable and we loved the reclining sofa and chair. Great to enjoy watching a film whilst having a nice glass of wine in the evening with you feet up. If I could make any suggestions it would be to add a few TV's to the bedrooms. This is just a personal preference for our family as we enjoy watching TV in bed. I know that's not to everyone's taste though and it's not a criticism. You cannot fault the house and the owners our lovely and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We shall definitely be back to stay soon.

The best holiday home we have stayed in.

The house is so lovely and spacious and very clean. Extremely well equipped kitchen and a really big fridge and separate big freezer. The garden was great and also big, perfect for our dog. The owners were really helpful when we needed to contact them. A perfect place to stay and about a 3 minute walk from the beach and town.

Lovely house and the perfect location for us to explore the island, paddle board and watch the sunset.

Well equipped interior but not as clean as expected on arrival. Plates and pots dirty and the windows dirty both in and out. Otherwise lovely place to stay

5star rating because all was what we expected plus a call from the owner to say that we could arrive earlier than the specified time because cleaning was completed.

The location 5mins walk to beach was great and much appreciated by Amber the greyhound. The side rear garden wall is less than 1 metre high. Not a problem for us but know your dog

Artro is a fabulous house.

It's warm, comfortable and spacious. The location is superb. The garden is safe and enclosed. Just a few minutes to the large beach, which is a seasonal dog friendly beach, and a few more minutes to a smaller year round dog friendly beach. Highly recommend the Stag pub, so friendly, the Bell cafe and the village shop. And great places to visit. Loved this house so much, we have already rebooked. And the owner Linda was a great communicator. Many thanks.

This was Our 2nd stay at this property and once again it was spot on.

..clean, tidy, warm & with it being Dec it was also beautifuly decorated for Christmas. The large property is ideally located as its just a 3 min walk to the lovely local beach, local shops, locol pub, cafes & restaurants. Outside theres a Large fully enclosed rear grassed garden (the new gate is such a great safety addition & appreciated by ourselves with having a little dog) & a big front drive way for multiple cars.The kitchen is really well equipped and theres a lovely large dinning table. The furnishings are great too-Comfortable bed and 2 good size comfy sofas (1 is a reclining sofa too). Downstairs theres also a useful toilet and a nice smaller snug room or children's play room. Upstairs theres a good size bathroom with shower cubicle. Also 3 really big bedrooms (1 is so big that theres room for 2 king sizes beds in it) with plenty of storage for hanging clothes and drawers too. Great communication from the friendly owners. We fully recommend having a holiday in this property and would happily book here again. Thank you.

Spacious property located just a 3 mins walk from the lovely local beach, pubs and shops.

Has a large driveway and big rear garden. Its a lovely garden but as others have commented your dogs must be supervised at all times as one wall between the neighbouring garden is quite low and there is a small ungated side opening which leads to the front drive, this is blocked by bins but we had a couple of very windy days that blew bins about so it's not 100% safe. The kitchen is well equipped and has plenty of pots/pans,crockery and cutlery along with a double oven, dishwasher and big freezer, and big fridge. Lots of seating in the living area and around the large dining table. Upstairs there's a shower room and 3 big bedrooms. Bed was comfortable with a good mattress which is a bonus in self catering homes as sometimes they are so awful. This property has everything you'd need for a week self catering and ideally located within short driving distances to so many other lovely beaches and other areas of interest. We Will be back at Artro in December so hopefully we'll have the same good experience again

We enjoyed our stay very much.

A couple of things would have made it flawless though. Something to wash the laminate floor with as you accept dogs and the garden was quite boggy, also water to the outside tap to wash the dogs off after beach walk. Would have liked a more secure garden as we had to use the bins and garden furniture to block off the exit at the back of the house. That said the property was lovely. Would definitely rebook.

Lovely stay, very comfortable and clean.

The only thing which we would change would be that the rear garden was made secure for our 2 small dogs.

A lovely house in a great location.

Our little family had a brilliant time (despite mixed weather) the thoughtfulness of having things like bed rails for toddlers and stair gates were excellent! Bathrooms were the only thing that felt a little dated but everything worked well and was well maintained. Owners were great with contact though we had no issues that needed resolving.
