“The accommodation is very modern but was lacking in some finishing touches/home comforts.”

No firewood even for the first night (nearest place to buy is a petrol station 1.5mile walk away), no hand soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, spare toilet roll, only 1 dish towel. No information booklet/welcome pack. The town is lovely and so quiet and we very much enjoyed the beautiful beach even though it was cold. We would absolutely return to cemeas but think the property would really benefit from the above.

“Great cottage and location and would certainly consider return in the future.”

It did lack or have very limited supply some very basic cleaning materials making it difficult to keep the accommodation as clean a we would like. Also please be aware parking tight for larger cars.

“Comfort marked down because bed was a little hard for me but that is a personal preference.”

The cottage contains everything anyone could need in a stay. Comfortable and thoughtful decor and furniture. Dishwasher was a little problematic as door wasn’t fully opening but machine worked fine with restricted access. Future customers should be aware that access/ departure can be a little difficult as laneway can become congested with parked cars at night. Also cottage would benefit from a manual or greetings book pointing out such things as nearby car park/ recycling and street access through gate to Main Street. Central location is great . Cottage is cosy comfortable and clean . A perfect base from which to explore.

“Cornel Clud is a comfortable well presented property, we enjoyed or stay there.”

The cottage is town centre, but tucked away behind the high street and very secluded and quiet. From the outside is very well finished, but has no views as such. The town is a 200 mtr level walk to the Stag pub, fish and chips and small but well stocked local shop. The harbour and beach are about a 400 mtr walk, and there is a beautiful riverside walk 100 mtr away that Archie the dog loved. Inside the property is equally well presented, very comfortable lounge area, well equipped kitchen, spotless bath and shower room, the bed in the double room for us was very comfortable (quite firm, just how we like it). There were some problems. The bath/shower is extremely slippery and there was no mat. Brenda slipped and fell the first night, we went out and bought a mat. The dishwasher door doesn't completely open (faulty) and you cannot pull the bottom tray out without tipping the complete washer out of the unit. We most missed the facilities book, there wasn't one. There were no useful instructions to use any of the appliances, not local information such as doctors, dentist or anything local. The first Sykes property we've stayed at that didn't have one. The wood burner starter pack was the poorest we've come across, two small unsplit logs, 4 small sticks and a non flammable firelighters. Fortunately the local shop wasn't far away. Overall we had a great time at Cornel Clud.

“Peacefull, private, comfortable and clean accommodation with a tastefull interior.”

Conveniant for the facilities in the village of Cemaes Bay and for coastal walks - we enjoyed our stay at Cornel Clud.

“Overall very clean apart from big cobweb in the 2nd b/room.”

Double mattress in main b/room was so uncomfortable hubby slept on the sofa and I slept in the bunk bed. Either a mattress topper or new mattress may be required. We used the Washing machine, on what we thought was a quick wash & it was still going 9hrs later. It was only when I was writing in the guest book we saw a hand written note for washing machine. An information folder would have been better advising people does and donts and advise on where to go and what to do in the area apart from just pamphlets. In the bathroom, the bath needs a bath mat, when having a shower it became very slippy, potential for a fall. Also bath towels would be nice getting out of the shower rather than hand towels. Lastly it would have been nice to have some logs for the wood stove, at least a bag to use would have been nice. It was a lovely place, I just think a little more thought needs to go in to what people would expect on hiring this property.

“On entering this property once we eventually got into a very restricted area if you have a larger car my wife usually goes straight for the kettle and a cup off tea where she found a used teabag obviously from the cleaner who as not got a clue how to actually clean anything.”

I spent the next couple of hours cleaning the place Drawers full of crumbs cupboard all filthy table sticky and the cobwebs on the walls and ceilings very large .the floor needed hoovering as there were dog hairs everywhere . The light in the yard wasn't bright enough so had to use a torch to go out with dog at night. Bath wasn't what you would call clean either We actually left early due to weather then got email saying we had caused damage to property and they were going to charge us which they did before asking our response Beware if you book take video or photos on entry and exit so you don't get scammed

“Disappointed with this cottage on the whole.”

Very little storage for clothes. There is no information booklet so no emergency numbers, at 73yrs I am not particularly tech savy so trying to figure out a firestick for tv proved testing to say the least. Cleanliness was not up to scratch dog hairs and cobwebs abound. Camaes itself is a beautiful village but description is misleading, the 2 dog friendly cafes, one is very small and the other is only d friendly outside. The beaches are stunning however with more dog area than not. Sadly we won't be returning to this cottage or to camaes.

“Very nice cottage in.”

A good location. Clean and spacious. Just a few points to mention the washing machine is faulty, vehicle access is tight and the address for deliveries needs to be better documented as currently it directs people to the Hugh Street where there is no access. Overall we would stay again in the future.

“Thank you very much, we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

The courtyard is great to safely let out the dog. Paul loved grilling on the outside BBQ, we have used it every night for fresh lobster, seabass & prawns. Lamb & beautiful steaks all purchased at farm shops & local butchers. Looking forward to visiting again.
