2 Mountain View

The property was clean, tidy and comfortable.

It was warm, had everything we needed, and having the hot tub was lovely- such a relaxing and peaceful way to end the day. Would definitely recommend.

It was a lovely place to stay, it felt like you were far away from everything, but it was easily accessible to the nearest shop and places of interest.

We had a wonderful stay in June for 11 days perfect setting with a open space/park, virtually on the doorstep ideal for a morning walk for our dog.

We enjoyed seeing all the variety of birds visiting the bird feeder in the garden, we even had a woodpecker pay a visit. The property was ideal, very quiet area only a couple of neighbouring properties. Lovely places locally to visit, although who needs Llangollen when Chirk has its own aqueduct and castle with lots of walks. Unfortunately for us the heatwave came and our dog is a Rough Collie with lots of hair, we couldn’t go out and about with her due to the heat so we did spend a lot of time in the garden, which is safely enclosed. Although some kind of shade would have been appreciated maybe a garden umbrella as the sail shown in the photos had been removed. Also the bins/recycling information needs to be made clearer. Otherwise we couldn’t fault the property and the games room is ideal for families. We will definitely return to this property as we didn’t get to visit all the places we wanted to due to the excessive heat. (Message for the owners, loved the toaster and we are now proud owners of one!)

An ideal house, tucked away in a nice quiet wooded area.

We had a fantastic short break at Mountain View.

The bungalow was very clean and equipped with everything and more than we needed. We really enjoyed the hot tub after a long day out. The welcome basket was the best we have ever had and much appreciated after a long drive.

We really liked the property, it was extremely comfortable and very homely.

We felt relaxed and had a really enjoyable stay. The hot tub and games room were great. Would definitely return.

Garden needs attention

The bungalow was fabulous, it was located in a great location.

Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the local park and walks nearby. Sadly the maintenance of the property wasn't great. From the description, we were expecting at least the grass to be cut weekly, but I can imagine this hadn't been done on over a month. There was a sand bucket in the garden with numerous cigarette ends in. The hot tub, which I hope has its water changed between stays, isn't cleaned appropriately, as the bottom had a layer of slime. The property owner allows dogs to stay, but doesn’t consider creating an enclosed area to safeguard them. One side, we had to position the 2 bins, to try to block the escape route and the other side with odds and ends to limit our dogs escape.

Number 2 Mountain View was a beautiful bungalow, very clean lovely welcome pack that went down well.

We had a lovely relaxing time wood burner was lovely, games room great if you have kids or Grandkids. Nice quiet location but pubs close by Especially The Poachers in Chirk great lovely Pub Sunday lunch excellent. Would 100% go back again.

Fantastic property in a perfect location.

Unfortunately it was let down hugely by the level of cleanliness Dirty oven, milky water in hot tub (clearly no chlorine), ants in one of the bedrooms ( on closer inspection we found food under one of the beds), dishwasher had no salt or rinse aid, BBQ was thick with mould. I'm sure we will be told that if we'd said something, they would have fixed all problems however after a 6 hour drive the last thing we want to do is go away for a couple of hours for you to bring the property up to the standard it should already have been in. So I cleaned it myself and just won't book it again which is a shame because the location was perfect for us.

Lovely bungalow and well maintained, the games room went down a treat with my youngest and his dad.

Lots of room in bedrooms added bonus washing machine if needed. Coal fire was an added treat and warmed the house up great. Close to town for eating out and local shops, Great for walks with the dogs

Minor technical faults already reported to owner, did not inhibit us while staying there.

Overall it was a nice stay, the hot tub was a decisive factor in booking in the first place. We would return if coming back to the area.

Ideal location for sightseeing different locations

Very close to chirk and very close to visit llangollen which is very nice and chester is also close by, also good walks near by . The cottage was very clean and modern and loved the hot tub

Nicely presented property, quiet location. Lots of surprising and thoughtful touches, which made the property very welcoming and felt like a true home from home. Would be happy to book a return visit.

We had a lovely stay at 2 Mountain View.

On arrival there was a nice little welcome pack, including wine, chocolates, bread and milk. The owner was very quick to respond to messages when reported a couple of minor issues, and even turned up with a new toaster within a couple of hours of reporting the one there being faulty. The cottage was very clean and tidy and really well equipped. We had 4 teenagers with us, who loved the games room and hot tub. The beds were very comfortable and we all had good nights sleep. We had our dog with us so the large wooded area behind the house was ideal for her walks. Chirk village is only a couple of minutes drive, Llandudno about 15 mins depending on traffic (it's very busy when you get close). We would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back if we stay in the area again.
