Dinlle

This was our second stay at Dinlle.

Nice, well equipped apartment in a striking former chapel. Could probably do with a chest of drawers in the bedroom, as we struggled to find places to put clothes. Other than that the apartment is perfect.

Had a short but lovely stay in this flat in the heatwave.

It was like retreating to a welcoming, cool cave! Would go again

The apartment was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped.

There was a maintenance issue dealt with by Sykes quickly. Having stayed there for two weeks though I was surprised not to be issued a change of sheets and towels. The bath shower combo could do with a grab rail.

Lovely unique apartment, comfortable and clean near to local shops.

A lovely clean welcoming property that has been tastefully furnished.

We used it as a base to explore the area and it was always lovely to return. My only criticism, which is minor, was there wasn't much room for food. Perhaps consider a small cupboard above the counter to the left of the sink. I would definitely return there.

Bijou Flat but did the job.

Good location to explore North Wales. Perhaps an Iron could be made available in the future.

Overall, it was a cosy apartment in a well positioned part of town.

The bedroom was very good, well designed - although the duvet needs replacing as it is a bit worn. The living are was very good, but the sofa and chair need updating, with a slightly smaller and more modern look. The kitchen are was good. The entrance hall was very good. The bathroom was looking a bit tired and the toilet seat was loose. Perhaps the whole room needs updating - replacing the bathe with a walk-in shower, a corner WC and a smaller hand basin? Overall, though, it was very comfortable for a couple. The weather didn't detract from the experience. Thanks

We've really enjoyed our few days in Criccieth Would recommend to friends and family .

Proved to be a great base to travel the surrounding area. We will be back .

This is an excellent conversion of an old chapel and the fittings and facilities are comprehensive and good quality.

The position is perfect for access to the village centre and beaches. Some investment is needed in the outside areas to enable outdoors eating, drinking etc with more comfort.

Everything was perfect

Dinlle is a lovely and striking apartment.

There were a couple of very minor issues. A chest of drawers rather than a vanity unit would be handy in the bedroom. A brighter bulb in the bathroom would make shaving easier. The cutlery seemed huge! The teaspoons were like dessert spoons, and, they in turn were more like tablespoons. We've never gone through coffee so quick. That said, the mugs were big so you needed that much for a decent cup. If we were planning on visiting Criccieth again, we would definitely book again. The weather was perfect too. Lovely place to stay.

The beach & sea were just across the road, plenty to do and see nearby. Lovely and quiet apartment, perfect for 2 people. Beautiful inside and very clean. Would definitely recommend.

Nice apartment, bedroom a bit awkward due to church pillars being in the way.

I read the reviews on the website about the slippy bath, so I took my own. No bath mat provided.There are many comments in the guest book about no mat so the owner doesn't intend providing one.

Stunning property with the wow factor, love all the period features.

It was very comfortable with everything you need and to a high standard, but also spotlessly clean. The essential items left in the property were a nice touch and much appreciated. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Only downside was the bath plug did not work and caution had to be given getting in and out of the bath. Lighting was also very dark in the bathroom. Might be worth asking people when they stay to air the bathroom after use as it can become quite wet with condensation. The smell of the air fresheners used were over powering. The reed defuser was empty and would have looked and smelt so much nicer.

A great little one bedroom right at one end of high street.

Clean, well maintained and comfortable. Has everything you need. I visited in Nov so many restaurants were closed and it is a bit tough heating up the rooms in those cold stone walls. But that was the fault of my timing, not the property.

Dinlle is a really quiet, comfortable and well equipped apartment.

For a weeks stay, more bedroom storage would have been useful, e.g. a set of drawers. We are mobile but had to be careful getting in/ out of the bath. A grab handle would be helpful and the rubber nonslip mat needs replacing as it wouldn’t stick. We had an excellent week, the weather was perfect and Dinlle was the ideal location for exploring the whole area around Criccieth.

The property was extremely clean and provided everything it said it would.

The milk and cake along with teabags and sugar were a thoughtful gesture when one had been traveling. A note was left regarding the bedding. Sadly no grab bar in the bath so not safe for people with poor mobility to get in the bath to take a shower.

A lovely clean property equipped with all we needed for a relaxing time, the sofa and chair were comfortable as was the bed.

Two downsides however. The blinds on the skylights are fiddly to close and the bedroom blind in particular doesn't quit close all the way. This lets in an annoying slither of light early in the morning. The other issue is the shower mat supplied. It's lethal, we didn't use it because it doesn't stick to the bottom of the bath and is extremely slippery.

Dinlle is a lovely appartment,spotlessly clean with everything you could need for a comfortable break away.

Property was clean, tidy and bright.

It was comfortable and had pretty much everything we needed (could have done with some wine/ pint glasses) and just across the road from the beach. We ate at Dylans and had takeout from the Chinese both of which were delicious, couldn't try the chippy tho as it was still closed when we were there, maybe next time tho.

Property is absolutely stunning and unique.

Our only niggle was the difficulty in getting hot water from the taps, even with help from the welcome pack.

Lovely apartment, quality fittings, except the electric shower has a very weak flow so not a great shower experience.

Need a large size cafetière! Need a better sign and directions for the actual driveway to property. It would help to have a small reflector on driveway entrance. In directions would help to give name of overall property (Ty Criccieth).

We had a lovely stay.

The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The location was also excellent being close to shops and just across the road from the beach.

Fabulous property, well positioned for train, beach, pubs and restaurants and to explore all the beautiful places in the area.

Left a day early to avoid the very early leaving time of 9.00 a.m. understand the property needs cleaning but getting up so early on last day of holiday was unacceptable to us.

What an absolute joy it was to stay at this property - perfect for the two of us.

Cleanliness was excellent, facilities were more than we needed and the location was even better than we expected. Some really nice personal touches, and it was a very unique experience - I never thought I'd be negotiating a church column in my bedroom! Will definitely be booking again.

The apartment was exceptionally tidy and clean.

Loved the quirkiness of the apartment as it had previously been a church. It had everything that was needed for a 4 night stay. WIFI was excellent. The location was excellent. Easy to reach many attractions in the area. Criccieth even had its own railway station which we didn't use as the places we visited needed a car to get to and a castle with amazing views.It was a nice touch having milk and a cake on arrival the cake was delicious. Wish I new where it was from. The only niggle was that we could only pull the skylight blind down half way as it was stiff. It does say they like us to wake up to natural light, but we like a dark bedroom and not to be woken up at 4.30 in the morning as it's getting light. Especially when you are on holiday. Will certainly go back to Criccieth in the near future and next time visit the castle and use the train.

Heating on arrival took a little while to figure it out and to warm the flat, it was so cold on arrival.

Noisy plumbing, we found it funny but not sure if the neighbors did. Nice touch with the complementary cake, delicious, thank you.

We had a great stay.

The apartment met all the expectations that we wanted out of an apartment. Ideal location for touring round North wales.

Exactly as advertised.

Good parking. Property on the main through the town and sea front and coastal path minutes away. Everything you need both in the appartment and in the town. Conveniently situated for so many attractions. Would definitely recommend.

A nice clean apartment close to the centre of Criccieth.

The whole apartment was immaculate.

The only issue we had was the bed. Seemed very small for a double!

Excellent property in a lovely part of Wales.

had everything u need very clean on arrival and comfortable. our only problem was bed as think was small double and my husband 6’2” just had to fold him up a bit. great base for touring round did many miles on foot and by car. We would say seemed very short on places to eat in evening. But all in all a lovely holiday

Not really our third Sykes trip in 18 months and we enjoyed it .

Lovely area and nice people

First, I had not realized that it was an apartment with no external access Next, it was too small - the bedroom could not accommodate a king bed, the bathroom was minuscule, there was no table The duvet was insufferably hot Incredibly, there was no microwave

The apartment is well situated for access to Criccieth beach and the village.

It was very quiet and comfortable, and adequately met our needs, although a microwave would have been useful. The toilet seat needs to be adjusted as it moves about when you sit on it and the television remote needs new batteries.

Could just do with a bigger bed,we are both skinny but the bed was too small even for us.

Apart from this everything was perfect
