Delightful property in an excellent location and We really enjoyed our stay in a beautiful part of Wales.

Criccieth was delightful and the views of the castle were wonderful. We enjoyed the local walks, shopping in the High Street and the local restaurants and fish and chip shop. Portmerion, Harlech Castle, Beaumaris castle ,Caernarfon Castle, and lots of beautiful beaches were all within easy reach.

Great central accommodation with access to lots of shops as right on the high street.

You do get a little noise being on the high street as bedroom is at front of building. Loved the shower but does needs a little attention as some mould is starting to build up but this is easily resolved. Stairs to apartment were not an issue for us but could be if mobile was a problem. Overall we had a great week staying at this apartment.

5 star accommodation.

A very modern well appointed apartment. Central location with simple on foot access to all local amenities. The perfect base to explore the rest of the llyn peninsula. Lovely views at the rear, easy access parking. Really enjoyed a 7 night stay.

What a wonderful apartment, just about perfect.

Lovely position with an amazing outlook over the Castle, Superbly set out and decorated with ever thing you might need, The parking permit is a great added extra, saved a lot of parking fee, Will definitely stay here again if we return to the area and recommend to family and friends.

Stayed here this time last year - decided to come back again, and enjoyed another lovely stay in this fab apartment.

Very comfortable with everything you'd need, and in a fantastic location right on the High St. Parking wasn't an issue either, as the owner provides a pass for the Car Park which is located just at the rear of the property. We had a slight problem with the TV - but this was resolved really quickly. Many Thanks

We really enjoyed our stay at Swn y Mor which is in a very pleasant seaside town close to beautiful walks.

The accommodation was immaculate in terms of decor and cleanliness. It is very well-equipped for a self-catering holiday and we loved looking out at the castle as we ate our meals. We also enjoyed experiencing local wool bedding for the first time!

We were really impressed by Swn Y Mor in Criccieth.

The position on the high Street was ideal with a beautiful view over the castle. It was convenient to have a car park just behind the flat. We were able to park on the high street to unload and load up the car and then park in the car park. Having a free token to park was helpful. The only downside for us, and this may not be an issue for some , but we found the stairs to the flat quite steep and our elderly dog had to be carried on them. When I booked I thought the flat had a balcony but it was a Juliet balcony. It was nice to open the doors though. Just two things we think could improve the accommodation. A shower mat and another set of towels each. We would highly recommend this property.

What a beautiful apartment with the most amazing view of Criccieth Castle.

5 minute walk to the beaches and about 20 minute walk to Blackrock sands beach. The apartment is very comfortable and has everything needed for a perfect get away. Nice touch leaving milk and welshcakes (delicious) coffee/tea/sugar. I would recommend anyone looking for a home from home get away in a beautiful part of Wales to book this apartment

The property was well maintained and very clean.

The view of the castle is lovely. Parking was easy enough. Parking is 100 metre walk from the flat so be mindful of the type of travel bags when packing. The flat was comfortable and easy to chill in. Good central location for shops and restaurants. The property description is accurate but useful to add a hairdryer to the listing. (I packed my own but did not need to.) Would choose to stay again. We very much liked the flat and liked Criccieth and the surrounding area.

The apartment is very clean and well catered for.

Everything worked very well- the shower, tele, mobile air con unit, microwave, dishwasher etc. It’s spotlessly clean and finished to a very nice standard and style. It was a great base for myself and my husband. We stayed here late June and we were on the first floor with some people above us - although it wasn’t at all noisy. The keypad system worked well and parking was easy in the long stay behind the flat. We very much appreciated the tea, coffee, milk and Welsh cakes that were left for us. The only reason I didn’t mark “comfort” as 5 star was that we both found the mattress too soft - we had stiff backs for the duration of our stay but at mid 50’s it’s probably our age! Anyway we would definitely recommend and would book again.

Lovely modern 1st floor appt - situated right on the High St.

excellent decor, really nicely laid out - very comfortable, and clean with everything you'd need. Stunning view of the castle from the French Windows at the back of the property - which open up to give that outdoor feeling. Met the owner who was most helpful - it was very warm whilst we were there and he very kindly brought us up a fan. Thank-you too for the tea/coffee/sugar, milk and welsh cakes, which were provided. We also tried the fish & chips which were excellent, owned by the same people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay .

Another great few days holiday.

Apartment very clean and comfortable. Love the view of the castle at night. Parking was easy with the permit at car park just behind apartment.

Overall the apartment was excellent.

It was well furnished and clean. Slight downsides was that no food compost bags had been left for food waste recycling. In addition it was disappointing to have the rear Juliette balcony doors open on a warm evening to have cigarette smoke wafting up from the fish and chip shop staff having their breaks.

What a lovely apartment in a really great location. I have stayed in many apartments over the years, in the UK and Europe, but Swn Y Mor was one of the best I have stayed in. The location was great for exploring the local area and beach walking along with staying in a cosy, comfortable and warm apartment. The view of the castle out of the window was priceless and the fish and chips from the shop below were lovely. I really enjoyed my stay. Keith & Linda (Friday 28th March 2025 for one week)

The property itself was lovely had everything you need for a holiday, the description doesn't mention the train line,it does say first floor, didn't expect as many steps (12-15) and VERY steep which were not suitable for our elderly dog (to big to pickup and carry) so we only spent 1 night there

Would definitely stay there again, perfect for the 2 of us Just an afterthought, hooks on the back of shower room door would be useful and coasters on bedside tables

Located on the High Street, this place is a great location close to food, shops, the beach, the castle, and the train station.

The view from the back doors does offer the enchanting view of the castle, as advertised on the Sykes' site. The directions received on how to find the place were not super clear but we managed to find it without too much inconvenience thanks to Google's help. At first glance, the property looks fabulous but some things were not as perfect as they seem. The 2 high dining chairs were hard and uncomfortable to get in and out of and is the only place to eat with the chairs sitting mere inches from the washroom door. The wooden armrest covers are heavy and fall easily to the floor with a loud crash. It would also have been appreciated if there was a place to hang coats and a small doormat. It rained a little bit during our stay and there is nowhere near the door to hang gear to dry, the only doormat to wipe off footwear is located outside the room so the floor got a little dirty when we removed our outerwear. The bedding and pillows were simply lovely but the bed itself was too soft for our comfort. At times, the noise from the street was audible and would wake us briefly, but it was not really awful. The heavy curtains really helped to block light as well as noise. We really appreciated having the dishwasher as there are not many pieces of each plates, bowls, cutlery etc. Thank you for the Welsh cakes, instant coffee, sugar, and milk as well. We would stay again if we were in the area for a short stay. On a side note, the fish and chips we had on our last night from the shop below was FABULOUS!! One of the best cod we've ever had! (I believe the establishment is owned by the same owner as the apartment.)

Everything we needed.

Well supplied even with milk sugar tea coffee and Welsh cakes. The owners were wonderful to deal with couldn’t have asked for more. They were friendly and obviously took pride and interest in our welfare without being at all intrusive. Pity we live so far away would definitely stay here again. Swn Y Mor is a beautiful flat, decorated & furnished to a very high standard.

Right in the centre of Criccieth it's the perfect location for strolling around the town & a great base for exploring the area. We had a wonderful stay here & would highly recommended it.

The public car park was close behind the property with immediate access.

The parking permit provided covered parking in some other car parks elsewhere operated by the local authority, making it very useful. The fish & chips below, run by the same family, were frankly the best in the area and very useful after a tiring day. The furniture & fittings were very modern, very clean and very comfortable.

We had a lovely stay in the apartment, everything was of high spec and had all we needed.

The location was great for visiting other places and we enjoyed a trip to Harlech on the train. We ate in No51 and Dylans, both were exceptional. The owners responded very quickly when we discovered the parking permit had not be left by previous guests and went to great lengths to make sure we were able to park in the car park at the rear of the property. The permit was returned the next day and dropped off for our use. All in all a great few days away and will definitely return.

Excellent apartment, wonderful detail to decor.

Just loved it, view fantastic. The only thing I would like to mention is need to put in read up on site, no t towel or dishcloth and no handsome supplied.

Fantastic apartment very clean and had everything you needed for a self catering holiday the location has everything from shops pubs and restaurants all on the doorstep the only thing that I think was missing was a fire escape at the back of the apartment

For longer visits (we stayed just short of a week) we could have done with some more bath towels, definitely more than one roll of toilet paper, more than one bin bag for the kitchen and having some paper towels provided.

We had to replace the batteries in the TV remote. Although the pillows are obviously good quality, they were very lumpy and so some additional variety of non woollen would have been appreciated. Road by bedroom is very bright and noisy, a good pair of blackout curtains would go a long way to fixing this. Shower ran out of hot water on one occasion (used for no more than 20 minutes) and internet did drop. We got ticketed parking in the diagonal bays of what we thought was the long stay car park, this is very confusing to a non local especially arriving after dark. Some extra information as to which bays are long stay and can be parked in on the 'getting your keys' section would help. All that said these are very easily fixable niggles and our overall stay was enjoyable. The flat is very well situated for visiting the area and to a high standard of furnishing. The welcome cakes and milk were a nice touch and flat was spotlessly clean.

Nice welcome pack, coffee, tea, sugar and welsh cakes. Very clean and the view from flat is very nice, with the castle illuminated at night. Very enjoyable holiday.

This is a lovely flat perfect for two people, in fact the photos don't do it justice, it was immaculate on our arrival, felt brand new, nicely furnished and well equipped.

Very comfy bed and super bed linen. Our only gripe, minor issue, would be the flimsy toilet which didn't seem to be secured very well.

Only problem was the traffic noise

An absolutely amazing, spotlessly clean apartment.

It is situated in an ideal spot, central to all amenities and the ideal base to explore this beautiful location. Everything has been well thought out to make this the perfect stay and there was nothing more we could have asked for. The information pack was very detailed with everything you might need and the parking arrangements spot on. A special mention has to be made about the the bed which was so comfortable and the wool quilt and pillows were superb. We will definitely be returning and will be recommending to friends and family.

Stunning property.

Well appointed and equipped. Incredibly comfortable wool pillows and duvet (great investment) Beautiful view of the castle from the French balcony. Fantastic location with shops,restaurants and pubs within short walking distance. The blue tooth in the bathroom is amazing. The shower is very slippy so had to wear flip flops. But apart from that, this is a superb property and we are recommending to friends and family and will book again.

Absolutely perfect flat and location for Snowdonia,the flat had every home comfort you could wish for, parking was not a problem plus you could use the parking permit in other car parks which are listed in the very informative book in the flat, spotlessly clean throughout, if we ever holiday in this area again we would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful and spotless holiday apartment with everything we needed for a weeks break.

The layout of the apartment is very well thought out to make the most of the space and finished with great taste. The photos do not do it justice, the bathroom and shower is very spacious and had a built in Wi-Fi connection. We’ll never forget that spectacular view of the castle from the French balcony. Criccieth itself is a very charming seaside town with lots of character and great connections.
