“We had a wonderful stay at the Lodge.”

We had everything we needed and the hot tub was fabulous. Really quiet and easy to relax. We had wonderful weather which helped too! Pam and Matt were fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome. We didn’t have to cook as we ate out most of the time. Lots of lovely pubs and restaurants around. Would recommend at trip up Snowdon….we used the railway, cheating I know but it meant my 88 year old mother could come too and she managed! The views were spectacular. We could see for miles. Also ...

“We have stayed in many holiday lodges and cottages over the years, but this one is the best we have stayed in.”

Top quality in all aspects, equipment, furnishings, comfort, location, and design. The roof top sundeck is great too, and of course the hot tub. A quiet location, very relaxing, an ideal spot for exploring this corner of the North Wales coastline. Owners Matt & Pam lovely people. All aspects of our holiday exceeded our expectations.

“We absolutely loved our time here.”

The lodge is beautiful in every way. From the roof top terrace, to the beautifully furnished lodge, to the welcome by the owners. It’s so peaceful. We all loved every moment, and our 12 week old granddaughter loved the trees surrounding the lodge. We will definitely be back.

“Everything about this property is five star including the owners Pam and Matt.”

Ideal base for exploring the area we thoroughly enjoyed visiting Rhos on sea very pretty seaside town and only a short drive away and then returning to sink into the very large hot tub with lovely views over the countryside. Superb accommodation on every level could not have asked for more.

“The Lodge is the perfect base for exploring North Wales.”

It’s luxurious and well equipped with everything you need for a stress free getaway. The beds are amazingly comfortable, the showers are great and the kitchen is lovely. The hot tub is a real bonus, perfect for relaxing at the end of a day exploring all that this beautiful area has to offer. We would highly recommend this lodge and its hosts.

“Fabulous lodge with hot tub and roof terrace made for a great relaxing break.”

Plenty of space with good sized bedrooms and bathrooms with lovely big rainfall showers with lots of hot water. Nice peaceful location, great for exploring North Wales and only 30 minutes from Chester and Chester Zoo.

The market town of Holywell in North Wales takes its name from the town’s most famous attraction, the 7th century St Winefride’s Well, one of the Seven Wonders of Wales. Holywell boasts over 60 listed buildings, with a variety of late Georgian and Victorian buildings on offer, along with a pedestrianised shopping centre, pubs, restaurants and an open-air market every Thursday. Just one mile away are the 12th century ruins of Basingwerk Abbey within the grounds of the Greenfield Valley Heritage Park, with its museum. There are many lovely walking routes in the area, including the open common area at Halkyn Mountain, Pennant Way, Offa’s Dyke and The Welsh Coastal Path. Within driving distance is the pretty Market town of Mold, which holds an outdoor market on a Wednesday and Saturday. The historic city of Chester, with its famous Rows, Roman Walls, racecourse, zoo, shops and restaurants is just over the border in England. The beautiful Welsh Coast is easily reached with the little seaside village and beach of Talacre only a short drive away. Prestatyn, Rhyl, and of course Llandudno are also easily accessible, together with the majestic mountains of Snowdonia. There are also some beautiful gardens to visit, Ness on the Wirral, and Bodnant Gardens in Snowdonia to name just two.
