Everything was clean and tidy and the facilities provided were excellent. When we arrived the wind was blowing a gale BUT the property was lovely and warm with under floor heating in the lounge. The working farm aspect was not an issue, as the Loft is well insulated and noise was never an issue.It was lovely to see the cows and cats out of the kitchen window every morning. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful place to stay!

It’s so peaceful yet not far from civilisation. We loved the bright, spacious living/dining area — all that natural light and the high ceiling was amazing. Everything was spotless too! My parents, who are in their 70s, really appreciated the ground floor bedroom with en-suite. The only small comment they had was that the mattress was a bit hard, but otherwise they loved it. I stayed in the upstairs bedroom and loved waking up to the sound of cows mooing — such a peaceful start to the day. We’ll definitely be back, as our family (who we came up from Devon to visit) live only 15 minutes away in Connah’s Quay. Thank you for such a pleasant and relaxing stay!

Lovely accomodation, well set up and maintained, in a beautiful spot, had everything we required, will be looking to use the Loft again, and the private path to the pub is a nice touch

Handy for local pub and central location for touring north Wales. Dangerous blind exit on to main road. Need to turn left to reduce risk. Suggest a traffic mirror on opposite side of road?

Absolutely lovely holiday cottage, perfect for the family!

We stayed here for 10 nights as 2 adults and 3 kids. Bright, modern and clean with lovely bathrooms and good cooking facilities. The open plan living area is great and the beds were comfy. Large outside space for the kids to play and it was cozy at night. Close to so many lovely places we had plenty to do. Thanks for a lovely stay, we'll definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We loved our stay at The Loft.

The house was spotless and there was plenty of space. Getting out of the entrance is a bit tight but we appreciated the private path to the pub up the road!! There is a big enclosed lawn ideal for children to play and the views are amazing.

Of all the cottages stayed in, spread over 12 years, The Loft is in our top 5.

It really is a home from home. Ideally located within easy reach of the North Wales coast, Mold (supermarket), Chester and Wrexham, it is comfortable and well equipped. Recommended.

We absolutely loved our stay,The Loft is beautiful cottage in a stunning location.

Deceptively spacious and luxurious, 2 bathrooms with showers and 1 good sized bath in the family bathroom. Under floor heating and individual room temperature controls. Fully equipped kitchen with good quality cookware. Great and secure large corner garden plot with ample parking. Views from all windows are breathtaking and we particularly enjoyed the views from the upper floor 'picture window' and skylights. Despite being almost adjacent to the owners property /working farm we were undisturbed by noise. What a wonderful find !

We had a wonderful stay at the loft as a family of 4.

The property was clean and welcoming with everything we needed . Communication from the owner was clear and helpful ,and the wine and chocolates were a welcome treat-Thankyou. The owner also very kindly posted our daughter’s favourite teddy home very promptly ,after she left it behind in one of the beds . A wonderful stay ,we will be back .

Well equipped converted barn with lovely views across the valley. Easy recommendation Note: Google maps took us into the farmyard which is round the back of the property. Suggest using what three words app for front door navigation.

We had a wonderful week at The Loft.

The cottage is fabulous. It has everything that you could possibly need. The views are spectacular and it is the perfect base for exploring the area. It is very clean and comfortable. We didn't want to leave! We visited Chester Zoo on one day and Chester is very easy to get to. We were surprised with the number of large stores available in Mold which is only 5 minutes away. There is an Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, B&M, Home Bargains. There is also a good range of takeaways. Our family has myself and my partner and teenage children so it suited our needs perfectly. We will definitely book again!

The location was amazing.

Luckily, the weather was beautiful. A really lovely stay if you want to unwind and relax for a few days. The host was incredibly helpful regarding our late departure and any other concerns we may have had. Would definitely return.

Lovely place great position for exploring the north Welsh coast and mountains.

The cottage is warm and welcoming and in a good location.

Spotlessly clean with everything needed for self catering. Plenty of outdoor space (not that we could make use of it in December but great for families in the summer). It is on a working farm, with one side overlooking the farmyard but it’s well insulated from any noise and very quiet. A couple of occasional tables and table lamps in the seating area would make it a bit cosier and more comfortably lit for reading (instead of the high level spotlights).

Lovely property - beautifully decorated and stunning scenery, pictures don't do it justice!

Easy key access and owner helpful. Unfortunately the weather wasn't kind to us so we didn't get to venture out but it was lovely to relax with friends and enjoy the space. As advertised it is on a working farm so expect a little farm noise - not obtrusive though. Only other point to note is that two of the twin beds are low to the floor so not ideal for adults - 4 adults and 2 children should be the advertised maximum occupancy for this property in my opinion. A gorgeous conversion though and ideal for a family/ slightly smaller group.

The most delightful cottage, very well designed and great thought involved by the owners to provide all facilities for an extremely comfortable stay.

Fabulous place.

Hi The Loft is a very nice place, clean, modern and comfortable.

We had everything we needed, including a complementary bottle of wine Coffee and sugar. The only down side we had, which is not the owners fault, was the large spider population, ( now much reduced ), if we had a phobia it would have been a problem because they were on the large size.

Lovely barn conversion finished to a very high standard.

Very well designed and equipped kitchen. Bathrooms finished to a very high standard. Very comfortable beds. Owner was friendly and provided a parasol for the patio table so we could enjoy the wonderful views from the large flat patio area without getting sunburnt. Would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to this lovely area.

We enjoyed our stay at the Loft immensely, it had everything you would need for a pleasant holiday and ideally situated for touring North Wales.

The Loft was absolutely lovely, everything was spotlessly clean, modern and really comfortable, the kids loved their bedrooms, it was just what we needed so thank you very much for a great stay.

Just one small point, we could have done with an outdoor washing line as we were washing every day (messy kids when we're out and about!!), and the airer was useful but not enough for all the clothes we were washing. The warm washing machine cupboard was great for drying stuff though!

The property was amazing, it had everything that you could need.

We had a lovely stay over Easter.

Everything was clean and tidy and the facilities provided were excellent. It was a shame we didn’t visit in the summer as the outside space was generous. The weather wasn’t good enough for us to sit outside unfortunately. The underfloor heating in the living room was very nice to come into - it made me feel warm immediately. Definitely recommend.

It was perfect for us as a family of 6, the kids aged 7-19 stayed upstairs and had their own space and there was a great selection of games for us to play in the evening. Also there was a great space outside for our Footie mad boys to be able to play football in the early evenings. Thanks again we’d love to come back.

When we arrived, we were so pleased to see how lovely the holiday cottage was (above and beyond our expectations). The views are amazing and the place is so clean, comfortable and also they’ve thought of everything that we could have possibly needed, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you so much. Wonderful property in a great location.

The accommodation was faultless and perfectly equipped. We loved having the working farm next door and the fresh eggs were delicious. Very close to Mold with all the amenities you need. One of the best cottages we’ve stayed in and would highly recommend.

A lovely Barn Conversion, cosy & comfortable, everything you need and a great location.

It was very private even though the owners are nearby. The fresh eggs are a must and the pub is a short walk away.

Nice an clean cottage

The Loft is lovely & has been converted to a very high standard.

The equipment & furnishings are good quality & generally comfortable. The only problem we had was that 2 of my friends found their bed not very comfortable. They were sleeping upstairs in the twin beds, both ladies are quite tall. Kathleen Hughes was so helpful & provided extra bedding on request & also offered fresh eggs from her hens which were wonderful. It is a working farm & so interesting in the morning to watch all the animals. The Loft was not far from Mold which had a market twice weekly selling local produce. Would definitely recommend if you have children as lots to see & do in the surrounding district.

Second visit and loved it there again . Lovely area and quiet. Never heard cattle

Chose this as I’m in a wheelchair but definitely not suitable as the shower could not fit my wheeled shower chair.

Would be perfect with a wet room. For the rest of the party it was perfect. Great views and the cattle farm is quiet.

This is such a lovely place to stay & the owner is very helpful.

We had a small accident in the house, as we were covered with Sykes insurance both Sykes & owner were brilliant. Lovely location with lots to do . Second time we have stayed & will be going back .

Very clean. Exiting the property on to the road is a bit tricky - we nearly got hit by a bus coming down the hill around the corner! Perhaps a mirror on the road would help (not sure what to call it!). Otherwise a lovely stay and can recommend it.

After rescheduling our trip to Wales because of the COVID outbreak, we were delighted to eventually arrive at The Loft in glorious sunshine.

You will not be disappointed with the location, setting & meticulous attention to detail that has been applied to the property. Our hosts were exactly what you want, available if needed & not intrusive at all & we certainly appreciated the welcome bottle of wine on our arrival. The Loft has been renovated to a very high standard & beautifully furnished. Anything that you might need on a daily basis was provided for, even a bbq that we used to cremate a few sausages on. They have thought of everything. Be sure to visit the Red Lion pub, just up the grassy path for a decent beer & a friendly welcome. The views from the outdoor seating were spectacular. We came to Wales to visit Mold, were my Grandfather was born & raised, it’s around 5 minutes drive from The Loft & has all the usual supermarkets, restaurants & pubs that you might need. A great wee town for a nosey around & lovely locals. We would absolutely recommend The Loft to anyone who is looking to stay in the glorious North Wales countryside.

We really enjoyed are break at the Loft.

It was what we wanted at this present time, away from everything, but lots to do int the local area. The Loft is a lovely building that has been really thought about, is an excellent standard and well maintained in it's own grounds. It has everything that you need to cook in doors and out. One en-suite and a big family bathroom on the ground floor. A warm welcome from the host. Try the fresh farm eggs. Well worth a visit.

We absolutely loved our 5 night stay at the Loft.

The views from the patio are stunning. Great whilst we enjoyed a cuppa. The situation of the cottage is beautiful as on a right bend but road is pretty quiet. Oh and the fresh eggs from the chickens are yummy. There was no noise at all from the cows. We would love to visit the loft again

It was perfect and exceeded our expectations. We would recommend the loft to anyone and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. The owners are very friendly and it’s fab staying on a working cattle farm, my boys loved the chickens too. Thank you so much for a great week.

On arrival at ‘The Loft’ we were amazed at how gorgeous it was, it’s exactly like the pictures.

We were contacted by Kathy a couple of days before asking if we had any questions and if we wanted to buy some fresh eggs. We did and they were delicious!! It was lovely seeing the cows and chickens everyday and the scenery was lovely. We were here early August and there was two lightning storms which were magnificent to watch from ‘The Loft’! The facilities are top notch. Everything was clean, modern and luxurious. 100% recommend!!

The accomdation was immaculately clean, beautifully kept and really comfortable, had everything we could have wanted. The views from the garden and windows from the property are spectacular. Well appointed for exploring North Wales, being a few miles from the North Wales Express Way. Takes a bit longer to get to villages etc near Snowdonia, due to slower B roads etc, but well worth the extra time travelling to be able to come back to this beautiful barn. Friendly, responsive owners, we cant wait to return and highly recommend this place.

Beds amazing and had great night sleeps! Garden lovely and spacious and enjoyed many bbqs on the patio. Owners are lovely as well and loads to do around the surrounding area.

It is warm, comfortable and of the highest standard of facilities and cleanliness. Location is excellent being rural but close to Mold and only a couple of miles from the North Wales Expressway for travelling to the many attractions in the area.

Recently stayed at this accommodation for a short break.

There were 7 of us- 4 adults, 3 children, one of whom is a baby. We fitted comfortably. The Loft is situated perfectly in a rural location, but close to local amenities, so perfect for a family getaway. The owner met us on our arrival and went out of her way to accommodate us. The property itself is immaculately clean with practically everything you would require for a break away covered. The home made cake and bottle of wine on our arrival was also a welcome surprise! We would definitely return to The Loft, without a doubt.

We had a most wonderful week in The Loft, its a beautiful and well laid out barn conversion.

The facilities are superb, the Kingsize bed was extremely comfortable and the ensuite is first class. We liked the the main bathroom as it very roomy with a lovely bath and separate shower and plenty of light and space for toiletries etc and great magnified mirrors for shaving for men. The location was great as we liked the semi rural location but great for local amenities and our travelling day trips and we had plenty of privacy in the lovely garden patio where we had sundowners. The Wine and home baked Welsh fruit loaf was appreciated.

This is about the best self catering accommodation we have experienced in many years of travelling on holiday.

The hosts are very pleasant and the accommodation contains every imaginable facility and comfort. The sitting area furniture is very comfortable as was the bed we slept in on the ground floor. The bathrooms were top notch. The kitchen is very well equipped. Everything including the barn conversion was new this year and we were only the second guests. The location is excellent for touring all of North Wales and is only 5 minutes from the expressway leading all along the North Coast.
