Aberffraw Holiday Cottages

Aberffraw: this lovely village is one of Anglesey’s best-kept secrets

Aberffraw, Anglesey, North Wales

Aberffraw is a small village on the beautiful south-west coast of Anglesey. All our Aberffraw holiday cottages enjoy the close proximity to its glorious stretch of beach with mountain views and the rare orchids that flower in its dunes. The village has a fascinating history including a Bronze Age burial chamber and 7th Century church. It was once the seat of Welsh princes, and the remains of the medieval royal court are said to lie beneath the village. It’s also home to the Aberffraw biscuit - scallop-shaped shortbread which is reputed to be the oldest biscuit recipe in Britain.
