Bangor Music Festival

Where? Pontio Bangor (Bangor University Arts and Innovation Centre).
What? An annual celebration of new and contemporary music.
The popular festival in North Wales takes place across 2 days in February, featuring a wide selection of lectures, workshops and live concerts. This year’s Bangor Music Festival includes Cerys Hafana on the triple harp, the experimental dancers Hedydd/VDKL to music by Eädyth Crawford, the enthralling Sinfonia Cymru, in addition to the innovative sounds of Electroacoustic WALES and celebrated soprano Deborah Norin. We are also pleased to include acoustic and acousmatic music by the Festival’s featured composer, Mikel Kuehn

St Davids Day

What? The feast day of St David, the patron saint of Wales.
St David’s Day is celebrated every year on the 1st March. St David (or Dewi Sant in Welsh) was born on the southwest coast of Wales and is the patron saint of Wales.

What? Annual Victoria Extravaganza
The Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza, Wales’ largest free family event, marks its 40th anniversary in 2025.
This vibrant festival includes a Victorian street fair, traditional fairground rides, fun-filled stalls, steam engines, street parades, and entertainment for all ages.
Visitors are invited to embrace the spirit by dressing in Victorian attire and joining the daily parades and Best Victorian Dress Competition.

What? An adventure triathlon, with super-sprint, sprint, standard, savage and legend distance options.
This world-famous event starts in Llanberis; the heart of Snowdonia’s industrial heritage.

The International Music Eisteddfod

Ring O’Fire

What? An ultra-marathon around the Isle of Anglesey
This epic race is staged over three days and follows the rugged and wonderful Anglesey Coast Path. With the backdrop of the dramatic Snowdonia peaks, the 135-mile journey is an extreme challenge not to be taken lightly.
Looking for a shorter distance? Runners can join in on Day 1 of the Ring O’Fire as a separate challenge. This 35.7 mile race, known as the Firelighter, is still very challenging and a massive achievement in itself.
