Caernarfon Holiday Cottages

The magnificent castle dominates this lively waterfront town

Caernarfon, Snowdonia, North Wales

Caernarfon is a royal town dominated by its magnificent medieval castle - a World Heritage Site and the most famous and awe-inspiring castle in the UK. It was built by Edward I, and was the mightiest of his ‘Iron Ring’ of fortresses in Wales. Edward’s son was crowned ‘Prince of Wales’ here in 1284, and the current Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, was invested here in 1969. It’s a fascinating town and visitors to our Caernarfon holiday cottages will find themselves well-placed for exploring the beautiful landscapes of Snowdonia. Jump on the West Highland railway for a steam-powered trip through the mountains
