Church Bay, also known as Porth Swtan or ‘Whiting Bay’, is named after the fish that traditionally landed ashore here. Our Church Bay cottages sit in this timeless village that lies on the cliffs of the west coast of Anglesey.

Why Church Bay?

Well known for its seafood, visitors to the village tend to make a beeline for The Lobster Pot restaurant, which serves local lobster, crab, mussels, oysters and scallops.

The sand and shingle beach is ideal for rock pooling and you will see gulls, fulmars and chough nesting in the red sandstone cliffs above the beach.

Visit the Swtan Heritage Museum for a taste of 17th century history. This fully restored thatched cottage includes a small feeding area for hens, collection of vintage artefacts and a well-preserved garden that has a well and stocked herb and beg plots.
