1. Snowdonia & Local Christmas Market

Where? Betws-y-Coed, Conwy
When? 29th of November – 30th of November 2025
Time? 10am – 4:30pm

Venture into the famous Snowdonia National Park to celebrate local makers and producers from Eyri and beyond.

Held in the car park of the Royal Oak Hotel, the stalls sell everything from handmade jewellery and distilled brews to pottery, knitted goods, and woodwork. Perfect for picking up locally sourced Christmas gifts.

Enjoy a festive atmosphere with performances from local choirs and brass bands, a visit from Siôn Corn, and the bang, bang, bash of the Royal Oak Forge team bringing plenty of sparks and fire!

Afterwards, if you fancy exploring the village a bit more, you can enjoy a tipple in nearby Y Stablau and grab a slice at Hangin’ Pizzeria if you still have room!

Or if you’re feeling adventurous, book an experience at the renowned Zip World Fforest or enjoy a hike up to Swallow Falls to blow away the cobwebs.


2. Prestatyn Winterfest

This year the bustling town of Prestatyn will be joining in the Christmas fun with its first ever ‘Winter Fest’.

Set to take over the High Street, visitors to Winter Fest can look forward to a variety of stalls, selling arts and crafts, hearty food, and gifts. As well as festive characters, live entertainment, a Snowman Hunt, and plenty of activities still yet to be announced!


3. Conwy Harbour at Christmas

When? 20th-23rd of November 2025
Time? 4pm – 7pm

Prepare to step back in time with this next Christmas event in North Wales, which takes place in the historic town of Conwy.

If you’re looking for a festive day out this winter, Conwy Harbour @ Christmas is the place to be! From 21st–24th November, the harbour transforms into a magical Winter Faire, with a huge heated marquee filled with the UK’s best artisans, makers, and traders. It’s the perfect spot to pick up unique, handcrafted gifts you won’t find on the high street.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Conwy Castle, the scene comes alive with twinkling lights, festive music, and that unmistakable Christmas cheer — and best of all, entry is completely free!

Shops and restaurants usually stay open later, so you can catch up on your Christmas shopping before grabbing a bite to eat in one of the many cosy pubs, including The Erskine Arms and The Jackdaw.


4. Portmeirion Christmas Fair

Where? Portmeirion, Gwynedd
When?5th,6th and 7th of December 2025

If you’re after a festive day out packed with local flavour, the Portmeirion Christmas Fair is not to be missed. This much-loved annual event brings together the best of Welsh food, drink, gifts, and entertainment — all set within the enchanting village of Portmeirion.

Wander through artisan stalls showcasing local produce and handmade crafts, enjoy live entertainment to suit all tastes, and soak up the magical Christmas atmosphere. With a fresh new name and even more sparkle this year, it’s the perfect way to kick off the festive season — so pop the date in your diary and keep an eye on Portmeirion’s social media for updates!

The Portmeirion Christmas Food & Craft Fair is the perfect place to eat, drink, and be merry in the build up to Christmas!

5. Ruthin Christmas Extravaganza

Where? Ruthin, Denbighshire
When? 29th of November 2025
Time? 8am – 5pm

This year, Ruthin’s award-winning Christmas Extravaganza returns. Approximately 100 stalls will be set up throughout the town centre and in the grounds of the historic Ruthin GaolRuthin Market Hall, and St Peter’s Church.

Bring the whole family to explore a variety of stalls, where you will find sweet and savoury treats, drinks, gifts, arts and crafts. There will also be live music to enjoy, with previous performers including a steel drum band and a rock choir.

Of course, a Christmas market wouldn’t be complete without Father Christmas himself. Children can visit him in the free Santa Grotto to tell him their Christmas wishes!


6. Wrexham Victorian Christmas Market

When? Daily from Thursday 27th November to Sunday 30th November.
Time? 

Head to the now-famous city of Wrexham for its popular Wrexham Victorian Christmas Market. Renowned for its football club, which features on the hit documentary ‘Welcome to Wrexham’.

Get ready for some festive magic as these festive markets return to the city centre. The markets have become a real highlight in recent years, drawing big crowds and creating a wonderful seasonal buzz throughout the city.

This much-loved event promises four days of Christmas cheer, packed with local stallholders, traders, and plenty of festive fun.

Who knows, you may even catch a glimpse of Ryan Reynolds or Rob McElhenney doing some last-minute browsing?!


7. Abersoch Christmas Festival Weekend

Where? Abersoch, Anglesey
When? Friday 5th to Sunday 7th December 2025
Time? 

Our next Christmas market in North Wales takes place along the breathtaking Llyn Peninsula. Abersoch comes alive with Christmas magic for three days at the beginning of December.

Expect a fun-filled few days packed with Christmas carols, live music, a bustling village fair, late-night shopping, Santa’s Grotto, and even a dazzling lantern parade led by the Batala Drumming Band. There’ll also be festive workshops, face painting, mulled wine, mince pies, and plenty of local cheer to go around.

The full 2025 schedule will be announced soon — but if last year’s line-up is anything to go by, it’s set to be a truly special weekend.

Afterwards, why not enjoy a bite to eat at The Potted Lobster or dine with a view at The Cove?


8. Beaumaris Artisan Christmas Markets

Where? Beaumaris, Anglesey
When? 22nd & 23rd of November 2025

This next Christmas market in North Wales takes place on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey.

Explore the historic town of Beaumaris in all its festive glory. Its annual event features a wealth of artisan stalls selling hand-crafted gifts, mouth-watering food and drink, and home decor. Perfect for getting into the festive spirit and picking up unique Christmas gifts!

Be sure to explore Beaumaris afterwards, where you can see the town’s grand castle, Beaumaris Gaol and Court, enjoy brisk walks along the seafront, or enjoy a meal at The Midland Tapas and Wine Bar.


9. Glynllifon Craft and Food Fair

Where? Caernarfon, Gwynedd
When? 15th and 16th of November 2025
Time? TBC

Since 2019, Adra has proudly organised the popular Glynllifon Craft and Food Fair, showcasing the best of Welsh produce — from handmade crafts and gifts to delicious local food and drink.

Held in the charming Parc Glynllifon courtyard, it’s the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping, with live entertainment and a magical Santa’s Grotto for the whole family to enjoy.

The event is hugely popular, and on-site parking is limited, so please use the free shuttle bus from Caernarfon. Entry is just £2 per person (free for under 3s), and as signal can be patchy, it’s best to bring cash.
