North Wales offers guests, activities, attractions, scenery, history and more! The historical, royal town of Caernarfon ticks all of these boxes.

Why Caernarfon?

Caernarfon is a royal town dominated by its magnificent medieval castle - a World Heritage Site and the most famous and awe-inspiring castle in the UK. It was built by Edward I and was the mightiest of his ‘Iron Ring’ of fortresses in Wales. Edward’s son was crowned ‘Prince of Wales’ here in 1284, and the current Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, was invested here in 1969.

It’s a fascinating town and visitors to our Caernarfon holiday cottages will find themselves well-placed for exploring the beautiful landscapes of Snowdonia and you can explore all Snowdonia has to offer by using the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway. Enjoy the stunning landscapes of Snowdonia as you travel through and don’t forget to stop at Beddgelert, Porthmadog and Portmeirion amongst others on the way.
