The Llyn PeninsulaAnglesey and Snowdonia all offer miles and miles of stunning coastline. The beaches are renowned for their watersports on offer. The waves attract surfers from across the UK. Some of the best beaches in North Wales include Barmouth Beach, Aberdaron Beach and Harlech Beach.

A trip to North Wales wouldn’t be complete without a mountain walk. Home to Wales’ highest mountain, Mount Snowdon, Snowdonia is known as the adventure playground of the UK. As well as the mighty Snowdon, other impressive hiking locations include Cadair Idris, Llyn Ogwen and Tryfan.

The area also has an intriguing historical past. There are a total of 7 coastal castles built by Welsh legends including Edward I. Conwy Castle is perhaps one of the most spectacular in North Wales and towers over the walled town of Conwy and the River Conwy. Beaumaris Castle in Anglesey was the last of Edward’s castle to be built in North Wales and is another stunning sight – even though it was never 100% completed.

Make sure you visit the towns of Beaumaris, Caernarfon, Abersoch, Conwy or Portmeirion during your relaxing stay in a holiday cottage on the North Wales coast.
